For once, the new arrivals to Hadriel will not be waking up on the cold hard ground of the colosseum. Oh, sure, you'll still awaken in the arena - but this time the Door has been kind enough to ensure that you wake up comfortably arranged in a very nice chair. Or maybe not so comfortably. Some of those look pretty awkward - hopefully you didn't wake up with a crick in your neck! And hey, feel free to try to drag some of these super cool chairs to your new homes. They're probably not cursed or anything.
As you make your way out of the arena, be careful getting to close to the walls - well, except that's the only way out, so good luck! Chilling up on there waiting to get the drop on you are Skulltulas. These funky-looking spiders have squishy underbellies, but their upper exoskeletons are hard and very difficult to break through. They really just want to nibble you a few times, and maybe suck out all of your blood. No big deal, right? Have fun!
Have you conquered your arachnophobia and managed to escape? Great! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers June 10th-15th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
A: hey bro~
Fortunately (at least at the moment) for Lavi, Bookman isn't here, but guess what? Someone else is! Guessing who won't be too hard, what with the sudden barrier that just erected itself between Lavi and his new spider friend.
Link debated whether or not to even reach out to Lavi when he spotted him. The former inspector's situation at home is... complicated. He shouldn't let himself be seen by members of the Order at all if it can be avoided. At the same time, Lavi is definitely supposed to be missing right now, captured by the Noah, and it seems they've both been brought to this strange place against their wills, so...]
You need to be more observant of your surroundings.
[So yeah, there's a CROW standing a few feet behind you, bro.]
'ey yo gurl... i mean Link
The barrier is very appreciated and only surprises Lavi a little bit, those talismans are always great when they aren't used on him. He was just around one or two of them, but neither of them were the person who he spots when he turns around.]
Two Spot? [He's looking at your outfit man, that is not desert clothing. Where your guns at?] Thanks. Uh... Allen with you by any chance?
so much glaring >:|
Link. [Frowning at you, sir, and not really thinking too much about his clothes. More worried about making sure there aren't any other spiders lurking about and waiting to get the drop on them.]
No, he is not.
[You really think Link would be sticking around here if he knew Allen was around?]
don't frown so much, Dink~
[Oh Link, so sensitive. He just grins and enunciates his title.] Alright Inspector. So you got dropped here alone?
[Maybe he had him barrier-ed somewhere? You never know with the church stalker. He looks back over his shoulder at the spider, still not forgetting how weird you look though Link. That's not your normal style.] So how long is this shiny wall gonna last?
ur lucky he has no one to report you to
Yes. [No, he did not pen Allen in somewhere like a mom leaving her kid in an IKEA ball pit.
Link doesn't bother answering the second question, instead turning his attention back to the spider scrabbling at the barrier. It's looking pretty determined about getting at them, but the barrier doesn't budge... until Link lifts a hand to let it drop intentionally. The talismans that were forming the wall instantly rearrange themselves into a neat circle around the spider before magic crackles and an unseen force crushes the monster into the ground.
... Looks like that's how long the barrier's lasting. This one, anyway. Also, it looks like Link's missing one of his gloves, and the ungloved hand? Has some interesting markings on it that weren't there before.]
even more lucky there's no Bookman 8D
Hn. Seen anybody else we know? [Honestly he'd expect more of a child-leash situation.
Lavi watches Link's talismans, keeping his keen eye on what the talismans were doing. He isn't quite prepared for the squish, now that is new to him. Props Two-Spot, props. And yes he's totally writing this down later.
With the spider smashed, Lavi has the ability to relax a little and totally takes a long-legged step towards Link to drape and equally long arm around his shoulders.] You get some ink when I wasn't payin' attention?
damn right
Never seen a Crow in action before, bro? Good, because you're not supposed to. It's kind of how Crow work, after all.
Just gonna frown at Lavi like he's asked a very stupid question. Also, why the touching. Touching is so not needed.]
I think there are more important matters at hand.
[What with the waking up (almost) alone in a strange place with no idea how they got there.]
no subject
Don't think he doesn't notice you are avoiding the question, Link! And touching is needed, all about that bonding.]
Yeah we should probably try to figure out where we are, right? Getting out of this gladiator thing is probably a good first step.
