For once, the new arrivals to Hadriel will not be waking up on the cold hard ground of the colosseum. Oh, sure, you'll still awaken in the arena - but this time the Door has been kind enough to ensure that you wake up comfortably arranged in a very nice chair. Or maybe not so comfortably. Some of those look pretty awkward - hopefully you didn't wake up with a crick in your neck! And hey, feel free to try to drag some of these super cool chairs to your new homes. They're probably not cursed or anything.
As you make your way out of the arena, be careful getting to close to the walls - well, except that's the only way out, so good luck! Chilling up on there waiting to get the drop on you are Skulltulas. These funky-looking spiders have squishy underbellies, but their upper exoskeletons are hard and very difficult to break through. They really just want to nibble you a few times, and maybe suck out all of your blood. No big deal, right? Have fun!
Have you conquered your arachnophobia and managed to escape? Great! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers June 10th-15th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

There's no warning before the spider on top of Elmer is suddenly gone, making some pretty unhappy noises as it tumbles end over end and comes to a scrambling stop about twenty feet away. Elmer probably won't be able to see exactly what was done to dislodge the spider (what with it having been on top of him and all), but the person responsible lands in a careful crouch close by, splitting his attention between the recovering spider and the guy he just saved.
Looking pretty calm for a guy who just flying-jump-kicked a giant spider, but then again, Elmer's looking very not dead for a guy who was just munched on by said giant spider.]
Are you alright?

Much better now, thank you! That was pretty intense. Nice work!
[He gets to his feet, struggling with the remaining bits of web stuck to his clothes. They are some tears where he'd been attacked and bitten, but there's no blood or even a scratch on him.]
I guess we better get running in case that thing's not down for the count? We can save introductions for a less spider-ridden environment.

[Definitely curious as to how this guy spent that long getting chewed on without a single scratch to show for it, but Mr. Spider's finally gotten his legs back under him and looks pretty intent on reclaiming his meal. Honestly, the spiders are just annoying at this point, and between them and the general situation they've all found themselves in? A part of Link really just wants to blow the damn thing to bits and be done with it, but that's not the best strategy when there are civilians still scrambling around.
He stands from his crouch and lifts his gloved left hand (the right is bare, with strange black tattoos), first and second finger raised as a stream of... paper? flies out of his sleeve, circling around the spider and bringing it to another sliding stop before some invisible force suddenly slams it into the ground.
Gonna let the paper ring linger for a few seconds to be sure the spider is actually dead, but... yeah. It looks pretty dead.]
omg somehow i deleted this tag. sorry! is it okay to keep it going?
When it's over, he actually claps.]
That was amazing! I can hardly believe my eyes. How did you do all that?
