people ask me how I do it, I say there's nothing to it...
Who: Armitage Hux and YOU (open and closed prompts)
What: come bother your resident evil angry ginger
Where: around the cave
When: first week of March
Warnings: mentions of torture, genocide/murder, etc. will edit for other warnings as needed.
peaches and plotting: closed to anakin
[Fruit was always a nice thing to come home to, especially when it was a bowl of peaches. He didn't have to guess who it was who had gotten them- only he and Anakin seemed to really appreciate how nice it was to have fresh fruit around.
It was such a simple thing but to them but it was a treat given one of them had grown up on a desert planet and the other on a star destroyer in the middle of the depths of space.]
I can't believe you found more of these. [He said as he picked up three of the peaches before sitting down at the table opposite Anakin.]
Your grandson went out a bit ago, I'm not sure where. He may not be back in time for us to save him one of these.

more imperial bonding time: closed to maketh
[It was wonderful having a project to work on once more. Granted it wasn't Starkiller, the superweapon which would always a be a part of him. But he could push aside the grief as he worked on the designs Maketh had provided him.
The empty apartment they had decided to take over had been transformed into a neat workspace, parts organized and laid out. He currently sat at the table with the Mandalorian armor Maketh had turned over to him, parts laid out neatly by him as he heard the door open.
His blaster lay beside him, he paused to put his hand over the weapon until he could tell it was Maketh.
Their attempts to rip each other to shreds had become a new alliance- they had a common adversary and recognized that it would be more advantageous to join forces for the time being. It was only practical as they both thought and worked alike as products of their Imperial background, they would be able to work together with each other better than anyone else.]
There is some power left in the suit but not enough to power any weapon like you showed me. But I think we can still get something out of it.
[He mentioned as she came into the room. He had lost track of time when he worked and his back felt stiff as he sat up straighter. It tended to happen whenever he was caught up in a project, he had often spent hours consumed in his plans for Starkiller and Finalizer, forgetting to eat or sleep.]

ok, maybe this is what it looks like: closed to kylo
[He wasn't sure how they ended up like this but Kylo's head was on his lap as he sat on the couch. He had one hand in Kylo's dark hair, idly playing with it as he brought up another holo recording up on his datapad for them. It was quiet in the house which they had all to themselves for a change, something they both had taken advantage of while they could.
It felt good and that was what mattered, he hadn't had a chance to really think about what they were doing beyond that.]
I don't know how much I have on this aside from HoloNet news broadcasts from the Core, I'll look for something.
[He stroked the side of Kylo's head without thinking about it, just behind his ear as he looked through the holo recordings. This was comfortable and he actually seemed to be at ease, a small smile on his lips.]

morning visitor: closed to maedhros
What are you doing here?
[Seeing the tall Elf in their kitchen the first thing in the morning was not something that put Hux in the best of moods. All he wanted was a strong cup of hot caf and eggs but instead, he found Maedhros sitting on the living room couch as if he lived with them.
Not only had the Elf had made himself at home but Eclipse was looking rather cozy with him which just made it worse.]
Who let you in and told you it was acceptable for you to just settle in as if you lived here?
[He watched Maedhros warily as he made his way to the kitchen to start heating up water, he had a feeling he would need some strong coffee this morning. If Maedhros thought he was getting any he would be disappointed. The knives were also within easy reach if the need arose. He turned to face the Elf once the water was started, crossing his arms.]
So are you going to tell me why you're here?
----
around the city: open
[Despite his obsession with his latest project to make the gods suffer, Hux actually does get out once in awhile. He's started dressing in other clothes other than his uniform but his appearance is neat as always- black pants, a button up shirt with his boots under a longer coat. But his blaster was always with him, within easy reach at all times.
He can often be found at various stores stocking up on household supplies, food for the cat. He's never cared for a kitten but he gets what he believed to be most suitable. His other stops are any stores that sell parts, chemicals, anything he can get his hands on that may be remotely useful.
What he would really like is a kyber crystal but the chances of coming across one of those are sadly disappointing. But at least it forces him to be creative in the meanwhile.]

[No need to bother with pleasantries. They might have reached an understanding, but that has limits. They might be civil to expedite the work, but that doesn't mean they have to be nice about it, either. And now that Maketh has had some time to sober up and consider the situation further, she's come to the conclusion that she truly dislikes Hux on a personal level.
Nonetheless, he has skill she needs. So she won't threaten to kill him this time.
Maketh pauses. Sighs.]
How is Kylo?
[There, see, she can be polite too.]

[It was something, just not as much as he had been hoping for. He's willing to share information so far as it pertains to what they're working on, she's still a traitor but a useful one. So long as they had a common target then he figured he could at least try to work with her.
He glanced at her when she mentioned Kylo, it was still such a strange thing for someone to be concerned for Kylo Ren of all people.]
He's fine, recovered from whatever cold we got. He's off training with Skywalker today, I believe.
[He set his tools down, stretching out a bit. It had been awhile since he had taken a break and he was stiff all over.]
no subject
[She pauses.]
That's--good, then.
no subject
[He arranged the tools he had been using neatly, organizing parts before he stood to get some of the stiffness out of his legs and back. He needed to walk around a bit, his foot had fallen asleep while he had worked.]

What needs to be done before we can test it?

"I am not here to steal from you, only to give attention to Eclipse while I wait." Hux didn't need to say a word for him to have a good idea what was running through the Man's mind so early in the day.
no subject
"So you just decided to let yourself in to wait instead of leaving a message?" Hux asked slowly as he watched Eclipse snuggling with Maedhros. Clearly, Maedhros had been over before to meet the cat.
"He's still asleep, you may be waiting for awhile."
no subject
"I would not leave you or he out in the cold to wait, and I find leaving messages a cold thing to wake to for someone who has done me great kindness."
no subject
He turned to pour himself a full cup of coffee before looking around for something to eat. He was starving but he wasn't going to try to cook anything while Kylo was still asleep. "What is it do you need to see him so urgently about?"
no subject
[Want, take, have. Sith motto. Or something.]
Even the seeds are good - as long as you don't eat them. It would be embarrassing for you to sprout a peach tree in your stomach, General.
no subject
He glanced up at Anakin, nearly rolling his eyes.]
Wouldn't my stomach acid destroy the seeds? Not to mention I doubt my stomach would make for an ideal environment to grow anything.
[Nice try, Anakin.]
Are you thinking of saving the seeds then?
no subject
[Sarcasm is fun! Come to the Dark Side, Hux~]
Should I? I'm not sure anything like this could grow well in Hadriel. [He remembers fruit trees being finicky.]
no subject
[But surprisingly, he's learning here. But after living for 34 years in a strict environment, it's slow going but he makes a little more progress each day. He finished off his peach before reaching for another without hesitation.]
I'm not experienced with growing anything but I agree. But if the Force is in all living things, couldn't you use that to make the seeds grow? [See, sometimes he pays attention to when Anakin and Kylo talk about the Force.]

Around the city!
[Yes that would be Amos, and since his hobbies occasionally inckude parkour, that would also be him misjudging his jump to a different rooftop and having to hastily rebound and turn the fall into a controlled tumble, with a startled yelp. He rolls out into the street and ends up splayed flat in the road at someone's feet. He blinks up at the man, recognizes him, then in a single fluid motion whips out a knife and does his best to put it through Hux's knee.]
[Hi, Hux.]
no subject
And today seemed to prove no exception as he caught sight of a knife. He drew his blaster as he fell back to a safe distance, taking aim.]
I suggest you take this chance to run. I know death isn't permanent but I still won't lose sleep over your death.
no subject
I'm sure you wouldn't.
[Which left the question as to why Hux hadn't shot him: because death wasn't permanent? He was remorseless enough about shooting animals pointlessly. Amos himself hadn't gone for a femoral vein because death wasn't permanent. No need to begin a cycle of death-and-revenge.
Just revenge.]no subject
[Hux's tone was dry but he wouldn't deny that he took pleasure in the suffering of others at times. It had always given him a thrill since the first time he had been able to cause someone else pain at his command. There was nothing else like it.
He turned on his heel then, slipping the blaster back into his pocket. He had other matters to attend to and had wasted enough time as it was.]

At the moment, she's simply shopping for a variety of things, including acceptable clothing. She prefers longer dresses that still allow for freedom of movement and currently doesn't own any pairs of trousers. She spots Hux while picking up cleaning supplies.]
Hello. I finished the blueprint we spoke of before. I forgot to send you a message about it, but it is ready for you.
no subject
He raised his eyebrows before nodding, smirking slightly. He needed inspiration with the project he and Maketh were working on.]
I am glad to hear that, I would be most curious to see them. Do you have them on your phone or did you draw them out?
no subject
[She might not have been a magical engineer, but she's got artistic talent, an eye for tiny details and an excellent memory.]
Drawing it from memory was an interesting challenge. It's been over a year since I saw those blueprints. For obvious reasons, the Magic Council makes accessing them quite difficult.
no subject
[He wasn't optimistic about being able to replicate anything but it may help.]
I'm not surprised by that, our policy is similar as well- blueprints and designs are not widely available.

He shifted his head slightly so he could look at the datapad better and moved his arm so that he could curl it around Hux's waist. It had been a very long time since Kylo Ren had felt this relaxed around anyone.]
Whatever you find is fine.
no subject
Here. [Instead of pulling up a video he leaned forward to grab the peach which sat on the table before him before handing it to Kylo.] Anakin brought them over and it's the last one left. You better eat it before he bursts in and snatches it.
[He wasn't able to put into words the fact that he had saved it specifically for Kylo. He had never done anything selfless for anyone in his life, he wasn't familiar with how it worked.]
no subject
Thank you, Hux.
[Kylo could understand the meaning behind the gesture. Hux had grown up primarily in space. Fresh fruit and vegetables were a rarity there. When they were found, they were to be hoarded. He took a bite, the juices running down his fingers. He licked them off with his tongue, completely unaware of what a display might do to Hux.]
no subject
You're making a bit of a mess.
[He shifted slightly as he reached down to brush his fingers against the side of Kylo's mouth to wipe away some of the juice slowly. It was fortunate they had the house to themselves, Hux was glad that it was likely Anakin wouldn't be back for some time.]
