I'm A Leading Man And The Lies I Weave Are Oh, So Intricate
Who: Reno and OPEN +1 closed
What: Stepford event
Where: Your doorstep; Bar; the hospital
When: July 16th - July 25th
Warnings: Potential violence and the mentions thereof; Alcohol; will update as needed.
[ Door to Door - I'm not a shoulder to cry on, but I digress. ]
He looks at the list in front of him after killing the ignition on his car, pulled up in front of a house. He taps the pad with the pen a few times as he reviews the information, then drops it into the passenger seat as he opens the car door and gets out.
He appears to be pretty calm as he approaches the door, but he knocks pretty solidly onto the wood to get your attention. He tucks his hands in his pockets as he waits for you to answer the door.
"Hey, I'm with ShinRa Collections Agency. It looks like you have an outstanding balance. A really outstanding balance."
Whatever you owe is now due. Perhaps you'll invite him inside to try and resolve this out of the public eye? Or he can do it here on your doorstep if you prefer. And for the love of God, don't try to run away. You'll regret it.
[ Bar - At night, we're painting your trash gold while you sleep. ]
Look, just because he's a hired strong-arm doesn't mean he's not a regular guy like all of the rest of you. And after punching out, he's definitely a regular guy. If he sees you at this point, and you owe a debt, well. You're completely off the hook for now, he won't even whisper of what you owe. In fact, come sit down and share a drink with him.
He's already a few in and when he sees you, he pats the bar to indicate the seat next to him.
"Hey, yo, come have a drink. It's better when there's company, right?" Just don't be negative. That'll make the booze taste bad.
[ The Hospital (Closed to Pell) - This bandwagon's full; please catch another. ]
Why do people never learn? It's always more of a problem when you end up in the hospital because you decided that fighting Reno was the better option, you know? That just means more debt he'll have to harass you for later.
Oh, well, this is his line of work. He's certainly not complaining.
There's one person in particular he's there to see today: Joseph Anderson. He gets the information from the receptionist and casually strolls past the staff on his way to Joseph's room.He opens the door, without knocking, and lets himself in.
The thing about Joseph is that he's a repeat offender when it's come to his debts. This dance is nothing new by any stretch of the imagination. Still, Reno's voice isn't any less cool and collected. He walks up to the bedside.
"Well, then, Joseph. Are you willing to make that payment now? Or perhaps one IV isn't enough."
Joseph looks genuinely concerned for his physical wellbeing as he tries to reach for the nurse button.

hospital;
Repeatedly.
And no one seems to be coming back to answer it.
Pell sighs, hoping that no one calls while he's fielding this. He'd ignore it if it were certain other patients, but this guy's been in for a three shifts now and Pell hasn't seen his call light blink even once. Something must be wrong. He heads down the hall and the first thing he notices is that the door is closed -- Joseph has a broken leg, so. He didn't do it. Cracking the door and peering in tells him what's up pretty quickly. His childhood friend is standing there, arms crossed, looking every bit like he's going to break Joseph's other leg.
Sigh.
He pushes the door open the rest of the way and strolls in casually, picking up the clipboard at the end of the bed and looking it over like nothing's wrong.
"Sorry, Reno, I don't see a beatdown scheduled for him today."

Knowing that Pell has a huge crush on Will, Reno's always tried to hook them up. But Will seems to be more fickle when he's uncertain. What there is to be uncertain about, Reno doesn't have a clue. He's practically spelled it out for the guy. He had thought for sure it would have gotten through his head this time; he'd spent hours trying to work Will up to asking for a date with Pell. But, it would appear getting the no, really, you should through Will's head was a miracle task.
Anyway... regarding Joseph.
"He's way past due on his bills again. All he has to do is pay it, and I won't have to bother him anymore." Simple as that, isn't it?

Right now he sets the chart back in its holder and moves to check Joseph's IV.
"You'll pay, won't you?" he asks the patient, who nods emphatically. "The faster he gets out of here the faster he can, too -- so it's better for everyone if you take his word right now."

He's joking. Mostly. Though he'd love to be a fly on the wall for that incident. Note to self to put a video camera in the dog shop, so he can continue to give Pell weird flirting advice and get to see it in action.
"Alright, sure." There's almost a playful allude in his tone. He turns to Joseph. "Alright, Joseph. You're in safe hands for now. Just don't try to skip it when you get out."
And then he turns back to Pell.
"So, when are you off the clock here? I can help you get those limes, yo." Because the more he's thought about it, the more he realises he really wants to see it.

If he thought jealousy would have worked, Reno probably would have used that by now. But Will would probably just waffle about it and wish for Pell's happiness while he sulked. At least pickup limes was more harmless.
"At this point we should probably outfit you with a neon sign and a banner that says Ask me out, Will! I'm FREE! But lets try the cheaper tactics first."
