Fact is, Merle will almost never know exactly what's wrong or what he should say or how he can help when they're having a rough time of it. He may not always be clothed. But if he perseveres, if he tries very very hard, he knows that every now and again a stinking spaghetti noodle will stick to a wall, even a little bit. And that's usually a pretty good turnout. ]
