[ The thing is, Will is already having trouble telling apart reality from the things in his head, already frequently opening his eyes and finding himself in what seems like a whole other dimension, so something like waking up somewhere unrecognisable is already bringing up the question of whether this is also in his head, like the doctors keep saying.
Will steps forward a little from where he's woken up, looking around. This is... different, definitely not Hawkins, not the school he was in seconds before. He holds the walkie talkie he's still clinging to tightly.
This isn't the Upside Down. It's different from his flashes there. It's not as cold. There's fear, that mess of confusing fear that comes from suddenly appearing somewhere you shouldn't be, but it's not an all consuming horror, not freezing terror. That- That feeling... that overpowering, dark evil that stared him down, that isn't here. He hasn't been here before. ]
Hello? Mike! [ Growing more worried by the second, Will starts really looking around now. He can't be alone here. Let his friends be here. Rather than call out again, he speaks into his walkie while he searches. ] Does anybody copy? Mike? You there? Lucas, Dustin? Please.
[ He doesn't hear back from his friends, but he does find lizards, which is almost funny considering he was actually looking for a lizard type creature several minutes ago. These though... Not the one he was looking for. Which believe it or not might be a good thing, right until Will spots one of them crawling over a sock and apparently setting it on fire.
Will backs up. The longer he's here, the more panicked he's beginning to get. He turns and almost runs to the exit, no doubt running right into somebody in the process. ]
#2. around town, any occupied house
[ Leaving the Colosseum doesn't help. Actually, it makes things worse. He's only been making his way through the town for a few minutes, calling out to his friends, when he spots one of them. A giant robot on four legs that looks like it belongs in one of his comics.
If he'd waited around, he might have realised that the robot wasn't actually going to do a thing to hurt him, but he doesn't wait. Will turns and runs for the nearest building almost as soon as he spots it.
What he doesn't really expect is for the building to be occupied by someone else. ]
S- Sorry! [ He stops dead in the doorway, awkwardly looking between the person in the room and the window. ] There was a- a giant, uh- Sorry.
