Rey wanted to kill Rose and Rose had wanted to die. It was perhaps the most disasterous way the two could have met; yet, out of all that chaos came... feelings that continue to surprise even her. Rose isn't sure what to make out of it. She remembers being told once that people who make you experience the widest range of emotions are the ones you end up caring about the most.
She has to wonder if that isn't true in Rey's case.
"I mean, I kind of doubt it'll be perfectly fine smooth sailing. We're... pretty different, in a lot of ways. But that's also what makes it kind of interesting, I think. I hope she thinks so too and that us maybe working together won't make her want to murder me again at least."
