Yep. As far as I know, darkspawn can corrupt any race. So, broodmothers can be anything.

That was the worst part of the Deep Roads, known as the Dead Trenches. This order -the Legion of the Dead- used to have a headquarters to fight the darkspawn on the front lines, but it was overrun. What was left is where we were. Not a place I ever hope to see again, but for all I know, it could happen.
