Though not similarly afflicted and thus not getting those deep pangs of empathy that drove Carlisle to try and help the person in question in the first place, Glacius does experience some deeply-rooted sympathy; he's no stranger to experimentation, and the damages it can cause, both physical and to the psyche. Who wouldn't want to be more than what their captors tried to make of them, after all?
