Glacius can tell-- and though he cares for Kate dearly and will generally back her on her decisions, moving Carlisle out of his home without telling him or waiting for any sort of agreement from the clergyman had struck him as a flagrant breach of boundaries. He hadn't even considered it before now, but as it's been brought to his attention, he can see how it could be particularly chafing.
