It is unfortunate that many worlds can be judged upon their worst qualities, even my own. This place has, albeit unintentionally, given me some perspective regarding my home, and how much worse it could be.

[And that is saying something, given his status in relation to his own world and his peculiar condition. He'd rather be ostracized and with magic than without it, though. He's damned even if he doesn't use it.]

But it has also revealed how it could be better, and what I have never known I was missing, for better and for worse.
