A week isn't really that long in the grand scheme of things. She's known people to be dead longer or in a god-induced coma for a month or more.

Of course, she had been there when the call had come in. It was the least she could do after being so utterly unhelpful during every other step of the way. It wasn't... a lot, admittedly, but Rose figures it's the small things that she can do that might add up in the end.
