Not entirely. [She allowed herself a smirk, thinking back to the more infamous jokes on military chow.] They're alright when cooked, and if you squint and eat them fast enough you can't really tell the difference. Military issued food is usually called 'chow' for a reason. You won't starve from it, but that's all you could look forward to.

[Thinking on it, it did occur to her that she usually ate more on leave than when on duty.] And not really, no. Fifteen or twenty minutes is the allotted time. Add in the number of people that need to be fed, and only those with religious or special dietary needs are allowed some flexibility.
