"I suppose we all will," Carlisle returns, acknowledging her comment about his name with a roll of his eyes so dramatic that Glacius likely felt it from beyond the shore. "I will be the first to admit that I preferred the cave."

Some people missed the sunlight, but Carlisle actually didn't mind what they had. No sporadic weather save for what was caused by the false gods themselves, no blistering heat or endless waters. Day in and day out, almost always the same. He liked that kind of reliability.
