Who: Epsilon and Tucker
What: Oh, hey, you didn't leave me after all!
Where: Blue Haus
When: Backdated to post-desertion event
Warnings: Bad language and abandonment issues.
[According to Wash, Epsilon was back.
Epsilon was back and in bed and fuck the rest of it for at least five minutes, but the bastard hadn't abandoned him. He hadn't bolted. He hadn't disappeared permanently this time, and Tucker had to prove it to himself.
That little shit. It was going to be good to see him again.
Was this feeling of dread and relief always in him, or was it more there because of the damn talk they had? Was it worse because the reality of how quick people disappeared (Caboose, Tex, and now...now Alpha)? He didn't know. He didn't want to think about it, didn't want to think about what all this bullshit meant; he just wanted to get into that room and throw every pillow at his stupid, stupid dumb face.
One Church left, but...but he still had Epsilon. No, not this time, buddy bullshit.
Tucker didn't bother knocking on Epsilon's door; fuuuck all that. He grabbed the knob and turned it, standing in the doorway with wide, skeptical eyes and a tight jaw. He was expecting an empty bed. He really was.]

Son of a bitch. It sucked realizing how lonely you could get in such a short amount of time.
The first time he woke up it was way too early and Epsilon could have sworn he'd heard someone walking around. Which was impossible because everyone was gone. He could have gone to check, but did he really want to be the crazy guy who imagined shit because he was lonely? Fuck that. He went back to sleep and if he dreamed he couldn't remember what they were.
When Tucker opened the door Epsilon was still in bed, his blankets tangled around his legs. The light from the hall was enough to force him to wake up again, squinting against it as he sat up. ]
The fuck- [ Why was his door open? It took only a second for it to sink in that Tucker was standing in his doorway. ] ...Tucker?
no subject
Tucker let himself take in the scene: the grumpy confused look on Epsilon's face, the way the blankets threaded around his legs like tentacles, the sparse room and the way those lips said his name. He memorized every smell, every beam of light, every sound.
Nope. He didn't care at all that Epsilon was back. Not one bit.]
You're a dick, saying all that stuff and then disappearing, you know that? [And Tucker could feel his lips curling into a small smile before he nearly bolted across the room to jump on the bed. Don't you fucking scare him again, not like that, asshole.
He snatched one of the pillows and tried to whack him with it.] Fucking worst prank ever!
no subject
Before he could even think about moving Tucker was on top of him and trying to murder him with a pillow. This fucking asshole with his stupid face who was here after over a week of being alone. Tucker was the worst.
That was probably why Epsilon was laughing as he tried to fight back, to free his legs from the blankets. ]
Yeah, I missed you too, cockbite!

Tucker straddled him, slapping him once with the pillow, then twice because that’s too close to feelings there, Church. But then he dipped forward, on his hands and knees, looming over him as he panted, as he smiled. Fuck, Epsilon was attractive when he just woke up. When he wasn’t bitching for once.
When he was happy.]
I know you did. Everyone probably did since I’m pretty awesome and all.
[Fuck, Epsilon…you’re really here.]
I can’t believe-- [I’m touching you.] -- you did that.

At some point during the one sided pillow fight his hand had found its way to Tucker's chest. Probably to try and push him off but now... now it was tightly fisted in his shirt so that he couldn't move away. ]
I didn't-- [ Leave. ] --I woke up and you were gone. Everyone was.
no subject
[He noticed that, Church, noticed that hand in his shirt, holding it, holding him there. He wasn't moving away, couldn't even if he wanted to, but he didn't. He didn't want to leave this fucking room, not when Epsilon could be torn away in a fucking heartbeat.
Fuck this place. Fuck this leadership. Fuck the gods that ripped them away just for fun.
He leaned down, forehead to forehead, his eyes closed. This was the only good thing about this stupid fucking place.]
You're moving in with me, okay? [It wasn't up for debate.]
no subject
[ No arguments, no debate. After over a week of silence, all that time waking up along with no one he knew there with him it sounded like the best idea in the world. He didn't want to wake up alone again. At least if they shared a bed then he'd always be sure that Tucker was right where he needed to be.
Every knot that had wound itself so fucking tight in the absence of his family was starting to ease and let him breathe properly again.
He already said that he missed him but the feeling still felt like it could choke him, that fear that this good thing could be taken away at any moment. Fuck this place that fucking stranded him the moment he got the guts to say what he felt. ]
You want me in your space that bad? You've got me.
no subject
At least this way, he'd be able to keep an eye on him, make sure he didn't disappear, make sure--]
Dude, don't make it sound like it's all me. You know you want to be here, too!
[Or, at least, he hoped. He was the one who started this whole damn relationsh-- um, thing, so now... now time to deal with the consequences. And those consequences were rooming with Tucker.
Not so bad, if he does say so himself.]
Also, I'm still sleeping naked. That's not changing.
no subject
[ He wasn't going to deny that sharing a bed after being apart for so long sounded like the best fucking idea he'd ever heard. Not that he was going to admit it, either. No need to give Tucker an even bigger ego just because Epsilon had admitted he had feelings.
Plus it's not like he hasn't seen Tucker naked before. It's just been a while. ]
You're the one who came running in here and jumped on me, you know. I'm starting to think you missed me, too, asshole.
[ And in a total contrast to his words, Epsilon reached up and curled a hand around the back of Tucker's neck to keep him close. ]
no subject
[Holy shit, did this make them serious now? Living in the same room together? Sure, it was for safety reasons, but that was all, right...? Right?
And Epsilon said all that shit about missing him, and Tucker knew he was right. He knew everything he said was fucking right, and it was hard to deny it, hard but not impossible. He just wasn't there yet, but this was the perfect jump start in the right direction.
Tucker didn't try to pull away from the hand. Instead? Instead, he leaned forward and pressed his forehead to Epsilon's, staring down into those haunting green eyes.]
Says the guy who is literally holding me here.
[It's totally fine if you're not admitting it.]
no subject
[ This sure was a lot of posturing for two assholes who were trying to stay as close as possible while acting like they hadn't been that messed up by their time apart.
Was it ridiculous? Of course. But, that was just how they were. It felt good to fall back into their bullshit, like slipping back into a favorite shirt. It was home. They could play emotional chicken all damn day but... well. Church isn't really in the mood for that.
That hand on Tucker's neck tightens for a moment before he closes that final distance and kisses Tucker softly. ]
Fine, maybe I missed you. Even if you are a prick.
no subject
[Or rather, Wash woke him up, told him about Epsilon and Alpha and Tex, and then Tucker fucked off to find Church. But it counted, didn't it? He wasn't about to give Church the bragging rights. That's not how this whole thing worked.
The hand was warm, solid, and in a second he was feeling those lips against his. It felt better, safer, right. Goddamn, when did he get so wrapped up in this? In him?
He was in trouble.]
And it's the best prick you've ever seen.
no subject
[ Wait. Could he take back everything he said right then? Because the moment the words passed through his lips he knew he was setting himself up for Tucker to roast the shit out of him.
Still... he couldn't quite bring himself to shove Tucker away or try and get some space from him. Not yet. He needed a little more reassurance that this was real. ]
I bet Wash found you first. He's always pulling that den mother shit with everyone.
[ Not that that was such a bad thing. Out of all the myriad reasons that Epsilon didn't like Wash the fact that he cared so much about their friends wasn't one of them. He was kind of a decent guy when he wasn't a complete shithead. ]
no subject
[Other than Tucker's on the random nightly walkabout to the bathroom? Did it count when the guy looking at him was digital construct? Or was Epsilon checking out dicks since he was on Hadriel? Oh fuck, now he was really confused, and the more he thought about it, the worse it got.
Fuck, dating - er, whatever-they-were-doing was weird.]
I think he was just happy to see me. Like you were, but not...like you were.
[Like a friend. A family. A teammate. Not like Epsilon, who had his hand on his neck and randomly kissing him and moving into his bedroom and yeah.
So maybe it was a relationship thing after all.
He leaned down and kissed him again before he could start over-thinking things even worse than he already was.]
