Ignorance is bliss, isn't it? But even so, despite of his terrible choices, Atem never harbored any king of hate towards Leo, if anything he felt sad for him, and even if in the back of his mind he idly wonders what made him be judgmental of him, he'd rather enjoy the moment they are given. He's trying very hard to follow the path that Kaiba had so kindly (not) tried to put in front of him. Focus on the future, not on the past. He's a creature of the past, however, it's not as easy as it seems.

Atem takes the earbud and starts listening—he's forever to be amazed at how much technology has advanced after his time. To be able to carry music around, listen to it anywhere. It's like magic, but maybe just slightly better. As he listens he closes his eyes for a moment, if only just to focus on the tune and the beat instead of his surroundings. It is the kind of song that would take anyone away from their thoughts. A second or two later he follows the beat with very small movements of his head.
