He scrambles to hold the jar ready with the lid cupped in another hand. Krieg isn't particularly any kind of "ideas" man either, since his "ideas" tend to involve, in short order: slicing things up; setting fire to things, setting fire to himself, slicing things up and then setting fire to them, pulling out sticks of dynamite and running around trying to detonate it over someone's head, and slicing himself up just for kicks.

None of those skills are very useful for transferring fireflies from one jar to another.
