[ She tries so hard to suppress herself around him. She'd had to, back at the Bureau, had to mask her feelings every time she interacted with him and the other two, her closest friends who only knew her as their boss, a near-stranger. And then here. He doesn't want her to be part of his life and so she's tried her best not to be, to make room for Taako and his feelings and his justifiable hurt, make room for him to live the life she'd stolen from him while she makes herself as small and inconspicuous as possible, bottling up her own guilt, her own confusing mess of emotions, so as not to bother him with them. It doesn't make up for anything. But it's all she knows to do.
