Oh shit, what even happened last night? You're pretty sure you had a normal night, no crazy drunk antics (unless that is your normal night). But this morning you woke up with a brand new tattoo, and it's... a name?

Maybe it's a name you recognize, one of your good friends. Maybe it's a stranger. Maybe it's someone you can barely stand. No matter who it is, you kind of feel like you should look for them and figure out what's going on with this weird tattoo. And when you find them - well, they've got one too, except this one is your name. It would seem weird, except as soon as you see each other you kind of understand. Of course you'd have a tattoo with the name of the person you've found such an amazing connection with. You were meant to be together.

So enjoy your time with your newfound soulmate. Who knows, you might wake up tomorrow with a whole new name on your arm, a new connection, a new love. Make the most of it!

[ So Starscream is obviously not paying any attention to whatever nonsense is happening in Hadriel. It's ridiculous and he's quite honestly just annoyed about pretty much everything nowadays.

He's just simply going about his day when he finally notices something etched into his plating on his arm. He'll peer at it with a scowl before finally letting out an iconic growl as he clenches his fists in anger. He is so damn annoyed right now it's not even funny, ruining his finish like this, how dare?! ]

What in the name of the Allspark is this?!

[ He's so not happy right now he's definitely not one for good company at the best of times, so, have at it if you want?!

ooc; I'm open towards Starscream having multiple soulmates, but mostly platonic. You can ping me on pathogenic if you wanna plan or ask me stuff! ]

[when Laura woke up with Starscream's name on her arm, she rolled her eyes so hard, she's amazed that they didn't pop out of their sockets and go rolling across the room.

damn those fake gods. this was not cool.

so she's in A Mood as she goes stomping about Hadriel, looking for him. maybe he's got some idea why they were paired in this latest bout of fake god fuckery. or maybe he'll just be annoying.

she's betting on the latter.

when she finds him, she pushes her coat and sweater sleeve back to display his name]

Any idea why I got stuck with you?

[ Starscream is just as peeved at having a human's name etched into his arm. Of all the ridiculous things to happen. He'll cross his arms over his chest as he rolls his own optics. ]

As if I wanted to engrave the name of a human on my arm. I haven't got a clue, but I can assure you whoever did decide to put me with you will be very sorry.

[ Can he kick the god's asses, please? He's so done. ]

sickly sweet] Awww, and I thought we were such good friends. [back to normal] Then you might wanna have a chat with Love. I'd pay to see that, but lucky me, I might get it for free.

[she envisions Starscream having it out with a perky pink glowcloud and has to choke back laughter]

[ He just lets out an annoyed huff as he gives Laura a glare. Though it doesn't exactly...have as much vehemence to it as it normally should or would. Strange. Despite being annoyed he...isn't really annoyed at her, which is perplexing. This human in particular was irksome at best.

Still he doesn't even know where to find gods to actually fight them. His wings slump behind his back as he just give as defeated sort of sigh. ]

And now what are we expected to do with...all of this? [ For some reason he's feeling a bit...out of sorts. ]

[she's so used to his glares. but this one doesn't seem to have the heat behind it that others had. okay. weird, but okay.

she'd recommend going to their temples, but she has a feeling that Starscream would be smacked down in five moves or less and she. . . doesn't really want that to happen to him]

Bond? [ His tone doesn't have the same bite either, odd. He kind of just slumps his shoulders as he lets out a sigh. Have an incredulous drawl as he looks back down at her with red optics. ]

And what exactly am I supposed to bond with a human over?

[an exasperated sigh] You've got me. Apparently the gods thought we should get to know each other better.

You first. [she'll accept no argument on those terms]

Me?! [ Ugh god this is just the worst day. Even if Starscream feels like opening up to her, almost as if she's the only one he can possibly trust here, he knows it's just a feeling that's insincere and caused by something he can't exactly fight. ]

Well what do you wish to know? [ His tone at least isn't as biting or angry as before so there's some progress. ]

[ DiMA hasn't even noticed his engraving, as small as it's required to be to fit on one of the slim metal pieces that make up his hands. What he has noticed is a strange longing for companionship, though for who escapes him at first. He doesn't even realize this feeling is the doing of the gods until he's visited a few friends and it hasn't abated -- Starscream happens to be next on the list, and DiMA knocks politely on the door to his house and hears the larger robot shouting inside.

...oh dear. ]

Starscream? Are you alright, friend?

[ Starscream is just annoyed is all. How dare someone engrave anything on him like this?! It's absolutely absurd and he wants no part in it. There a strange sense, an...unfamiliar feeling welling up inside his spark though. It only seems to get stronger when he hears the familiar voice of DiMA coming from the front door. He just...pretends it's nothing however, best to just ignore it honestly, as he turns with an annoyed huff to reply to the other. ]

Of course not. Have you seen what they've done? [ He'll just show the other his arm with DiMA's name etched into it. ]

The nerve of them.

[ At seeing his own name engraved on the metal of Starscream's arm, DiMA's normally placid expression shifts to surprise, his eyes going wide and confused. ]

I had not, no...

[ Which brings him to check his own limbs more closely, the structures of his hand and undersides of his fingers... it's somewhat hidden but sure enough, buried beneath the tubing is the other's name, carved into one of the slim 'bones' of his arm. DiMA blinks at it, then looks back up at Starscream. ]

I have no idea what this could mean. I simply came by because I wanted to see how you were.

[traitory]

[ That gets Starscream to stop fuming for at least a couple of seconds. Because honestly hearing DiMA say that just made him feel actually, genuinely, happy. It's strange and weird and he's not sure what to do?! ]

Ah, is that...so? [ He was worried as well but he doesn't say anything. When has he ever worried about someone other than himself, sincerely and genuinely. He doesn't recall a time when he ever has. ]

You're not...feeling anything strange, are you?

[ Elizabeth isn't sure what's going on either, but when she realizes that others are in the same boat as she is, the best course of action seems to be finding the other person. Thankfully with a name like this, locating him isn't that hard. Best to make a positive first impression, at least. ]

Excuse me Mr... Starscream.

[ Look she's just going to roll with it as best she can. ]

[ ugh when will it end? It seems like there's no end to these people running into him. This time it's someone with the name Elizabeth, not that he has any idea of who that might be, a human obviously, but no one he's actually encountered. So when some random human walks up to him he'll turn to regard her with red optics and a unamused look. ]

Let me guess. You have my name on your arm?

[isochrone]

[ If Elizabeth is intimidated by speaking with a mech twice as tall as she is, she's good at not letting it show. ]

That's right.

[ She turns her arm over to show him his name there. ]

And it seemed that others in the same situation have been tracking down the other person, so it seemed logical to do so. Perhaps there's something we can do to... appease the gods, and get them to revoke this?

[ Despite his tone and unamused demeanor, she doesn't feel defensive, even though she thinks she probably should. Is this some side effect as well? ]

[ He's just a more chatty Songbird, tbh, don't be afraid of him Elizabeth!! ]

Ugh, and so it continues. [ Why do the gods hate him?! ] Nothing I've tried has worked. But if you have any ideas, I'm all ears.

[ Songbird is a good portion of why Elizabeth isn't afraid, for sure. ]

Well, what have you tried? I confess this is new to me as well, so any information you already have would be appreciated.

[ Knock Out, on the other hand, knows exactly how to find Starscream, and tracks down his fellow Decepticon and jabs his own marked up arm in the Commander's faceplates. ]

Is this your idea of a joke?!

[traitory]

[ Excuse you?! Starscream might lean back before he knocks Knock Out's arm away to show him his own. ]

My idea? Your the one that has the tools to do this sort of thing. What about me? I wouldn't do this to myself, you know.

What about you? I wouldn't deface my own finish either -- you know me!

[ He crosses his arms with a vented huff. ]

Which leaves the gods meddling again. What's the point of this? It's not like we're strangers to each other.

[traitory]

Then it has to be the gods, who else could it be? Unless this is some kind of joke that one of these humans would dare try to get away with. [ But he can't really see one of them jeopardizing their own life like that. He just balls his hands into a fist as he lets out an annoyed grumble. ]

The gods again. They're more trouble than they're worth. [ He's so pissed off right now, like why this?! ]

And why exactly did they put your name on my finish? I've been getting nothing but annoying humans coming up to me for the last several days...

[ And DiMA but he doesn't count! ]

[ Much as Knock Out would like to blame it on some random human, he agrees that it's unlikely. ]

Is there anything here that isn't the fault of these gods? I swear I'd almost take Unicron at this rate, at least that motive was clear.

Really? How unlucky you are, Starscream, you're my first.

Yes, well, I rather it be you than another human. [ Did that sincerely just now?! He sure did, and he just clears his throat afterwards. ]

I'm not sure I understand entirely what we're supposed to...do. But do you feel any different? [ He's been feeling odd all week but he's just kind of...ignored it, especially when it came to DiMA in particular, hm. Yep totally just ignoring his feelings, that's the way to go. ]

[ He'll take the small concession. ]

How many humans have you had?

[ Yes, he knows how that sounds, and he's being cheeky about it. Which is an easy distraction from the fact that he definitely does feel different, albeit complicated. ]
