Event Log: Soulmates

Oh shit, what even happened last night? You're pretty sure you had a normal night, no crazy drunk antics (unless that is your normal night). But this morning you woke up with a brand new tattoo, and it's... a name?

Maybe it's a name you recognize, one of your good friends. Maybe it's a stranger. Maybe it's someone you can barely stand. No matter who it is, you kind of feel like you should look for them and figure out what's going on with this weird tattoo. And when you find them - well, they've got one too, except this one is your name. It would seem weird, except as soon as you see each other you kind of understand. Of course you'd have a tattoo with the name of the person you've found such an amazing connection with. You were meant to be together.

So enjoy your time with your newfound soulmate. Who knows, you might wake up tomorrow with a whole new name on your arm, a new connection, a new love. Make the most of it!

[ Were he most any other man, she would roll her eyes at that line. As it is, she tries not to look too pleased as he stirs, as they discover the names shared between their hands. ]

What do you think they mean by it? [ Dany muses quietly, stroking his palm with her thumb. ] It's never really anything good.

[ They may have moments like these together - soft, quiet, and warm - but the gods usually have a way of putting an end to all that before long. ]

Are we so obvious that even they would make note of it? [ She jokes, lip twitching upward in another smile. ]

[One thing he's found in these last days is that her smile melts him. She makes him want to say ridiculous things like the thing about her name on his heart: things that he might rethink if he were more awake, things that are unguarded, things that are both a jest and meant seriously.]

I don't know what they mean.

I do know that the rest of them -- [(he angles his head towards the door of the room to indicate everyone else who lives in the house)] -- are... well... they know. And if these gods feed off of how we feel....

[He shrugs, then brings his hand and hers to his mouth, where he kisses her thumb.

A lot of feelings probably shoot out of any room they're in together like a beacon.]

Then they'll receive a lot of strength from us. [ She murmurs, watching as he raises her hand to press a kiss to it. Yes, they're - well, obvious, but it doesn't bother her. There's no real need for secrecy here, as the politics of their world are far, far away. For now, they have all the time they could want, and without all the eyes of the Seven Kingdoms and beyond on them.

She leans up to kiss him, lips parting in a lazy smile, lifting her other hand to tangle gently in the hair at the back of his head. ]

I'm not certain that I feel any differently because of what they may have done. [ Dany notes, unable to determine if the gods had generated any particular, usually unnatural emotions within them. ] It seems the same as yesterday.
