"Ah, all right," Carlisle replies, taking a look around. There's a shallow patch of grass growing beneath the rocky outcrop that will serve as their partial roof, having apparently garnered just enough sunlight to flourish; the sparse treeline is far enough away that they will surely see any potential predators coming long before they arrive, save for if they manage to scale the rocks as well. Where the outcrop doesn't cover provides them a clear view of the sky, one that will no doubt dazzle once filled with stars.
Most importantly, the back of the alcove is but a smooth wall, no caves or hiding places for nasty beasts to speak of. Nice and safe.
