[ Castiel shook his head, slowly, eyes narrowing. Inside, he was begging for it to stop, but it didn't stop. He stepped closer to her, until they were almost level. ]

I remember when we were both newborn, playing with you beside the great ocean, and counting all the grains of sand on the beach. There weren't so many of them, even the oceans hadn't been there for very long. I thought that perhaps you, at least you, would choose to side with me. But I see I was wrong. [ She began to try and beg again, but Castiel clicked his fingers, and she cried out, white-gold light exploding inside her, spilling out of her eyes, her mouth, before she collapsed into the fresh space on the ground made for her.
