Mostly OTA | Here we stand, feet planted in the earth...
Who: Lady Maria and YOU!! OTA and one closed log.
What: Catch all log! Hydra Killing, Fear and Love, and Fear itself events!
Where: All over! Coliseum and around the City.
When: Backdated to 10th and ongoing!
Warnings: Violence and gore. Will update as needed.
I. Newcomers event - Hydra Fight!
Lady Maria never really bothered to trouble herself with the plight of the newcomers here. They had to learn for themselves of the cruel world they have been drafted to. Though, as she watched them pour in through the door like a flock of lost lambs, she couldn't help but feel they were vastly outnumbered.
From her perch up high, Lady Maria could see the abomination with all its monstrous heads. "How uncouth of them. To summon such a beast. No clean death can be offered this time." Pulling her blade in two from the middle, wielding it in both hands as she lept down from the crumbling wall, landing with the grace and poise of a ballerina. "I will fight alongside you... Just stay out of my way."
II. Fear and Love - Closed to Sansa.
To say that Lady Maria wasn't afraid would be a lie. Indeed, she was brave, fearless on the battlefield and unbreakable if caught captive but she had spent near an eternity trapped inside of a nightmare. Her fear was that her blood would betray her, that those she dared to care for would fall if not by her own hand, then by that of the Healing Church or Executioners.
Maria had ample time to sit and dwell, to ponder on what was and what could be. Now that she lived here in freedom of her dreams, Maria had more things to think about, such as her time here and what she had done with it and for the first time in what felt like forever, Lady Maria was once more afraid of loss. Afraid of losing something or someone in fact.
Seeking out what she feared to lose, Lady Maria made her way to the young Stark woman's abode. Was it wrong to fear losing something that wasn't even yours to start with? A strange thought that she wrestled with as she rasped on Sansa's door. Was it foolish to wish and want? Was it foolish to dream and have ambitions unlike those you've ever had before?
"Lady Sansa... May I enter?" She called out softly as she stood there, for the first time in a long while, nervous at the door.
III. Fear Itself - Vilebloods & Beasts.
Blood...Crimson, Vermillion, Claret, Scarlet... All the shades and colours of blood That was all she could see, all she could smell and what made her lips feel as parched as balanced wood. Maria never craved blood, never partook in it's intoxicating and healing values... And yet now it was all she wanted.
That was how it started.
Then there were the shadows, the sounds of beasts, the wailing of those from the Fishing Hamlet. Lady Maria hadn't thought of them for some time now, yet here she was, unnerved and on edge, seeing and hearing them around every corner she took. If that wasn't bad enough for her, the visions of the few she had come to trust and care for, turning into the abominations that dwelled the Research Hall back at the base of the Astral Clock Tower. Their heads enlarged, pulsating bags of Celestial fluid.
As days went on, so too did the terrible things Maria thought she saw, until it was no longer her imagination! Beasts roamed around Hadriel, like great rotting wolves half men and part animal. Woman, slug-like with long, thin, translucent tails and the twisted deformities that left their heads split in two, swelling with curses and insight.
Avoidance was all good and well but as the days grew on and more of her nightmarish denizens started to materialise, so too did Lady Maria's urge for blood, slick and warm. It was unbearable, so hard to resist.
