The finger doesn't become unstuck, it seems pretty frozen into the ghost's face - and the foot will hit the General's chest... and slow down a bit when entering it, again with the feeling of jelly and the immediate cold that starts to freeze what part of it has entered the translucent body.

The General... chuckles, a deep rumbling sound like thunder in the distance. Or at least it probably chuckling, because it does sound like a weather phenomenon more than anything else.
