Whatever reaction this creature was meant to elicit, Rey's expression remains inscrutable. She has already bled out her emotions when she saw this creature before, and seen one of her many mutilated vessels prone in those body bags. There is no logic in a strong response this time.

At Sato's suggestion and the Lady's challenge, Rey tightens her grip on the knife.

"Am aware." She slips the rifle over her shoulder so to remove it from her way. No use in wasting bullets on something that she can handle up close and personal. "It's never done that before. Wasn't sure if it was violent."

Almost as if in answer to Rey's statement, the creature launches itself towards the two. At its rapid approach, its inhuman details become more apparent. Its limbs are longer than they should be. Gangly. And though it's shaped like a woman, the lack of clothes and certain anatomical features depict it as anything but.

Though it's fast, Rey's own reaction time is swifter. Throwing her hand up in a blurred motion to catch the creature's swiping arm with the blade of her combat knife. No blood. It just cuts through what seems to be a layer of metal.

And that's when she also notices that its once fingerless hands are now equipped with significantly longer nails. More like needles. Sharp enough to slash through bone like cake.

She isn't unaware to the presence of other threats lingering in the area. But, right now, the Lady has her full and undivided attention.
