"Two friends, even. It's a real party." That's not even goin' into the role the kids are playin' in all this but...well, the kids are complicated. He's not really sure what to say about 'em on a good day, much less now that things have mushroomed outta proportion with the arrival of several dozen impossibilities.

"But, hey. Perks of bein' jettisoned across spacetime? You get to meet all sorts of new people." He winks an eyesocket. "Really takes the edge off."

'Course, some of those new people end up hatin' your proverbial guts, but what can you do?
