Well, Hope and Delight are messing with the door again, but at least this time dragons aren't involved, right? This attempt goes a bit better - sure, no one gets sent home, but if everyone will just look under their seats, they'll find a FREE [INSERT SOMETHING YOU MAYBE DIDN'T WANT AT ALL HERE]! Awesome! So nice! Yup, throughout these few days people will be finding things from home - something they loved, something they used all the time, something they hated, something they totally forgot they even had. All sorts of cool stuff!
Well, they might not actually find it. Their neighbor might, or a complete stranger. And who knows where it could turn up? At the park, half-buried? In the Silent Hill zone, kept safe by a horrifying monster? Or hey, maybe in somebody's underwear drawer. Awkward. Better try to find your stuff, or find the owner of whatever weird crap you found. It could be something important.► This log covers October 15th-October 19th.
► Feel free to make your own logs, as well

NEAR SILENT HILL ZONE Noah texts back quickly, jogging another half block away from it to take another picture of the car that better captures the part of the city it's in as well to send that. Noah is thankful that he took the time to clean off any litter that had gathered on it when he was investigating earlier.
It's about that time that he remembers that the devices have GPSs now and figures out how to read where he is on that to send to Dean as well.
Noah's practically vibrating with excitement while he waits.

Dean damn well knows how to run well enough at this point in his life, that he runs, making headway like he's being chased by a horde of Croats. The picture gives him that much more information, even though the zone isn't exactly the hugest. But the most helpful of all is the GPS, even though he tells himself he'd be fine without it through sheer intuition of his own. As if he's got some kind of psychic connection with the chrome beast, and Dean would probably say he damn well does.
It doesn't take him too terribly long to find his way there from his spire - though he's not counting the minutes so much as the tremendous thundering in his chest - and when he finally starts closing in, he practically skids to a stop and stares. Because lookit that--
Home came to him.
"She's here." It should maybe be considered a bad thing, after all the car should be back home, where it's meant to be, not here. How're they gonna get it back, whenever they go? Dean doesn't know but he's trying not to think too much about it, instead taking Baby in from a distance, all of her. It's only then that he flashes a stupid ass grin to Noah, all wide and fucking thrilled, going ahead and making it the rest of the way over.

Noah practically jump up, waving his arms as if Dean didn't obviously already spot him and the car he'd been leaning against.
"Surprise!" Noah calls, though all he did was find it. "I couldn't tell if it was missing anything, but it has like its engine and everything!"
no subject
It's the only accurate response he can think of, such utter surprise plastered across his face that he's not entirely sure what to do. He doesn't even care too terribly much that this is the last place his car should be because it's here and he's missed it and it's like someone's given him his home back.
Noah gets a huge ass wicked grin for all his trouble, Dean finally making it the rest of the way over, practically jumping up and down himself. He looks halfway to gleeful which is not so much a common look for Dean, but he smoothes his hand across the hood the second he's able to, content in a whole other kind of way that she hasn't been ruined on the way here.
"You wanna check the rest of her out?" Though- Dean glances up towards the Silent Hill zone for a second, already helping to keep an eye out before he's looking back, "Thanks. For sticking around."
no subject
He nods at the question to check the rest of it out, curious to how it holds up to the memory that had replayed in Dean's dream.
"Of course. I'm a wimp, sure, but... this is important."
no subject
He may have been born in Kansas, but he was raised in this car. He's been indoctrinated into his life out of this car, learned how to be half the things he is, in this fucking car and there's nothing he can do to change any of those things. And so maybe he's just a little attached.
Nothing he can do to help it.
"Checkin' out the trunk first--" Dean makes his way around the car, nodding his head to Noah to join him along the way, still dragging his touch gently along the car's surface, as if might evaporate away at any given moment. It's only a few steps around the car, and then Dean's popping open the trunk, giving his nose a quick scrunch as he stares into the sheer emptiness that's in there. Granted, the devil's trap is still painted on the underside, but the vast lack of his weaponry is almost starting and yet he almost shrugs, noncommittal and unbothered.
"Fuckers took my shit." Well, can you blame them, Dean? It's not like you owned a rocket launcher or anything... "Guess I can't be all that surprised."
no subject
And Dean is exactly the kind of bad influence he'd flock to when he was alive, to be honest. It makes him feel alive in a good way.
Noah huhs at the empty trunk, not sure if it was supposed to have anything (but taking a picture of the Devil's Trap because that's some awesome heavy metal shit right there) until Dean comments on its absence.
"Did they? What'd you have? Was it alcohol?" Noah might cry if it was filled with liquor like Dean was an old timey bootlegger and it has now gone missing.
no subject
Dean shrugs an absent shoulder as if he can just get over it all that easily and he can to a certain extent. He didn't actually think he'd get all his shit back, that'd just be too much of a dream come tree and he shoots Noah a placating sort of look, something easy and unbothered. He could be a hell of a lot more upset about this, but he got his car back and that's what matters, that's what counts in this and Dean is mostly just pleased as punch about that.
So they took his arsenal, his shotguns, his everything. So what. Life goes on. He's managed to stay (mostly) alive here, he can keep that job.
Shutting the trunk gingerly, Dean dusts his hands off and then nods back up towards the front seats, a grin already working its way across his features. He's gonna get inside his car if it's the last thing he does, and Noah is welcome right along with him. Which is to say, he kind of wants the company, so he doesn't drift off right then and there, someone to show everything off to, someone to make sure it's all real right along with him.
