Pharah has by now gotten herself a room in a spire and established a routine wherein she wakes up early, uses the circular staircase for a quick, jog, showers and eats, then dons her armor and proceeds outside for patrols. She doesn't trust the rifts and generally tries to keep her distance, but she does want to keep an eye on the area in case they end up doing something weird.
Which, of course, is exactly what happens when Cecily tries to close one and Pharah's hit with the shockwave. It's not long before the demons follow, and Pharah immediately jets into the air to get away from them. From there, though, she takes a quick look around to see if anyone else needs assistance. Does she notice you? Do you flag her down? Or maybe you catch her when she's forced to land and the demons find that an opportune time to attack; maybe, then, she needs your help.

It's not just people that Pharah helps. Well into the fight, Pharah can be seen cradling a little Fennec fox pup in her hand. At this point, she's trying to get the poor thing to safety in her own home before heading back out to the fight, but it's a fight just to get back to her apartment. Help a fox out?
