[ Crow doesn't go out of his way to be friendly with the wildlife of Hadriel. Especially when most of the monsters only want to eat him. Except a harmless nug has been following him around all day. He'd fly several streets away and the naked little thing would still manage to find him. And he just can't ignore that. ]
Look, little guy. It's time we had a chat about this.
I'm not really looking to bring a sidekick-in-training under my wing. I already have my own thing going on around here and I just don't think—
[ The nug huffs a snort. Staring quietly. ]
Okay, okay! You don't have to get emotional! We can be friends. Just don't be clingy, got it? We can hang out but when it's time to go home, we go home. Capisce?
[ And when he flies away, the nug playfully follows after him again. And now Crow seems like he's having a pretty good time with it too. ]
Nov.25 - Closed to Faith | ...keeping them is hard
[ There's a chance that an absence of Hadriel's chattiest corvid the last few days is the least of anyone's concerns compared to the demons going about. And even his small nug friend roaming around with a black feather tied around its neck can't seem to find him, but he hasn't gone far at all.
Under Faith's bed is the shivering mess of a black bird known as Crow. Muttering to himself, curled in the back corner with some of the bedding that Faith has made for him— it's a small comfort to the worming fear wiggling around his brain. He can't think about Faith though. He can't think about April either. Or anyone he cares about. Because it's impossible not to think of the horrible things that could happen to them that would be impossible for Crow to prevent. He is just a bird after all. No real skills other than 'getting things off high shelves' in the most exciting of situations. He can't fight battles for them. He can't carry them to safety. He can only abandon them to go find someone who can do all that for him.
Who really wants to be friends with a bird that useless?
He thinks he deserves to stay in this corner. He thinks he actually deserves being thrown back into a wooden chest. But the corner will do for now. ]
