The morning of November the 15th seems rather normal- that is, if you can avoid the glowing cracks in the fabric of reality tucked away among various streets. Still, they don't really seem to be doing much of anything and you can't quite see through them, so maybe they're decoration? This wouldn't be the first time the gods pulled some weird shit to shake things up around here.
By midafternoon, however, something changes. Cecily, in all her wisdom, decides to attempt to dispel one of these rifts, and the resulting shockwave sends tremors through the city. Tears throughout Hadriel open wider and allow for various demons to burst through and terrorize the various citizens. Demons will be tearing through in all corners of the city, though you can choose to avoid them if you like.
Look out for Pride and Rage demons, who attempt to brute force their way to you and feed off of your anger, steel yourselves against Despair and Fear demons who grow stronger as you give up hope, and definitely cross the street to avoid the Desire demons, who can take either male or female forms and will offer you everything you want if you just let them in.
Demons will either focus on attacking you or tempting you by taking advantage of and feeding off of your basic emotions. Agreeing to let a demon help you and mentally folding to it generally means that the demon will begin to possess you and start calling the shots- often using you as a vessel to hurt others and sow discord. If you happen to have any sort of magical abilities, extended possession can lead toward becoming an abomination after the corruption takes root.
So... you might want to avoid all of that. Luckily, there are some good things happening that can distract you- along with the demons, several nugs and fennec foxes will also pop up around the city, and if you don't want them to die a horrible death to a hungry demon, you might consider adopting them. In addition, you may find a random potion laying around- maybe this can help you fight off those demons, or maybe it'll make every nug in the city love you- or maybe it's secretly a jar of bees. Wouldn't be the first time you guys let bees in jars get a little out of hand.► This log covers November 15th-November 25th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well

Miriam Day
[Apparently this is the time for Shit To Go Down. Demons are falling out of the sky, there's green shit everywhere, and Miriam has seen enough weirdness to last her about ten lives and maybe two good drug trips. But, in the meantime, life goes on and so does business.
So she's set up at the pawnshop, shifting through piles of crap and a few possible treasures like a good little businesswoman, Barnaby snoring at her feet. Demons are happening, but not in here. Other people can deal with that.
Wander inside and she'll flash a bright grin.]
Hey! You're still alive.
apartments - closed to Charlsie
[The world's gone crazy again, but it's not all bad. Miriam bangs on Charlsie's door, eyes bright, and arms wrapped tight around a box.
The box is squealing in distress. Barnaby may or may not have attempted to eat it earlier.]
Charlsie! I got a present for you!

[is Sato's reply, beaming over the lid of a rather large cooler he's carrying with both hands. That's one of those expressions that just seems a little funnier every time he hears it.
There's actually quite a bit of blood on his clothes (which might not be too surprising considering the circumstances outside) but he doesn't seem to be injured in the least.]
I'm glad to see you're still open for business.

I thought that with a location so close to the clinic, having a few spare parts might be useful for someone.
[Or perhaps as monster bait, a light snack for some of the more monstrous inhabitants... Sato doesn't really care. But if they're willing to accept a few 'human' organs, well, he should be able to really clean up... and not have waste time sifting through the shops for things he needs.]

But he does open the door for her, stepping aside to let her in despite his reservations. He looks as though the recent events have been a little rough on him: the bags under his eyes are darker, his tabard is missing, his hair isn't as perfectly in-place as he'd normally like; however, he is up and he doesn't completely reek of alcohol, so he considers that a minor victory.
He might be glad he left his tabard off this day as he eyes the yowling box, his gaze darting to Barnaby as though the dog might protect him.]
You got me a box. A box that yells.

[He's not sure he likes the sound of that. He looks at the box as though it may explode, but seeing how Miriam doesn't seem like she's going to take no for an answer (when has she ever?) he does take the container from her. It rattles in his arms; he tightens his grip, clearly surprised.]

[Miriam bounces up and down, laughing. She got him a friend!]
It won't bite you, I promise.

[He cracks open the box. The moment a sliver of light appears, the creature within nudges against the top. In bad news, Carlisle drops the box; however, he does catch the aforementioned creature as it leaps into his arms.
If the way he looks down at it is any indication, he was thinking of dropping it, too. He decides against it, as it is small and pink and... does, admittedly, look relatively harmless. Perhaps Miriam wasn't exaggerating.]
It's a... rabbit?
[He's really not sure.]

Pawnshop!
As Miriam greets her, Tina waves, dropping a handful of crap she'd brought with her, to scatter all over the floor. ]
Ugh, crapsicles! Hold up gurl!
[ Clambering to her hands and knees, Tina crawled over the floor, gathering up the random bits and bobs she's scavenged, collecting up and putting them in the skirt of her dress as she carries them over to where Miriam sat and tipping most of it onto the counter. It's mostly lego blocks she stole from the Alcohol demon, a few shiny stones, various coins and alien money as well as a few of her own, very rare blocks of eridium. ]
Sooo~ don't s'pose yoo could do me a flava and see if any'o this crap is craptastic enough to trade for that!
[ Pointing over to a shelf behind her, at something that looks like a toy or a child's old rundown saddle. ]
no subject
[Miriam narrows her eyes.]
Weeeeellll. Can't do shit with the money, sorry. But I'll trade ya these thingies -- [She points to the legos] and one of those -- [the eridium] for that thing. And I'll throw in a good knife 'cause I'm nice like that.
no subject
[ Tina smiled, pushing the items Miriam had pointed out over to her, separating them from the rest of her junk, she'd gather it all back up later! ]
Be extra-especially careful with dat stuff, yoo hear me?
[ Pointing to the eridium with a raised brow. ]
Its reeeeaaal dangerous if yoo don't know how to use it! Don't want'cha blowin' your pretty hands off... No for realz gurl, yoo got pretty hands.
[ She smiled and swayed on the spot where she stood. ]
Sooo~ the saddles mine now huhhuhuhuh!? And a sweet ass knife too?!
[ Excited to claim her treats, Tina was almost bouncing on her toes in anticipation. ]
I'mma catch me up one of those piggy-thingies! Think it'll make a good, loyal steed to ride into battle?!
no subject
[The dog chuffs at hearing his name.]
Baby boy needs his fun, you know?
no subject
[ Giving Barnaby a smile and a little curtsy, still bouncing on her toes a little, it's like she has ants in her pants. ]
Hey! Wut if I catch twooo o'dem!? Yoo want me to bring it here so poochie there can play fetch the ugly skinless piggy, huh, huh~?
[ It's cruel and she knows it, but who's she to stop a dog getting his funz on? ]

[He'd say it's a weird greeting, but... Eh, cave life. He's starting to accept its horribleness. Not really something he ever wanted to get used to!]
How's -- there you are, good boy. [Barnaby is the Most Important resident of Hadriel, and Warrick crouches down close to him to prove it with a hand offered out for ear scritches.] I thought you might have fed him demons, or something. That probably wouldn't be very good for his stomach, would it, Barnaby?
no subject
[The dog chuffs in agreement.]
It gettin' any better out there?
no subject
Not really. These ones are even trying to attack me, unlike those zombie things. At least recovering isn't a problem...
[He'd probably have to eat or sleep sooner than usual, though. Ugh. Oh well, at least Barnaby's here, prepared for belly rubs...!]
Have you been staying in here the whole time?
no subject
Pretty much. I went out a bit, but I got everything I need in here.
no subject
Interesting stock for a pawn shop. [But then, might as well, when there wasn't a real economy.] Do you live here?

I didn't know you worked here. Or if I did, I forgot with the whole...trauma and fear every day thing.

[He's fun, she likes him. He has a sense of humor. Maybe not about everything like Sans does, but close enough. It makes things interesting. Especially when Hadriel's gone to shit yet again.]
Nah, this is pretty new. Cool digs though, yeah?
[Miriam nods, pleased with herself.]
Richie didn't wanna give me the job but I convinced him.

[he checks out these "cool new digs"]
What's hot right now? This year's must-have item?
