Event Log: Fadeout

What: The event log for the Fadeout event!
Where: All around the city
When: November 15th-November 25th
Warnings: None!

The morning of November the 15th seems rather normal- that is, if you can avoid the glowing cracks in the fabric of reality tucked away among various streets. Still, they don't really seem to be doing much of anything and you can't quite see through them, so maybe they're decoration? This wouldn't be the first time the gods pulled some weird shit to shake things up around here.

By midafternoon, however, something changes. Cecily, in all her wisdom, decides to attempt to dispel one of these rifts, and the resulting shockwave sends tremors through the city. Tears throughout Hadriel open wider and allow for various demons to burst through and terrorize the various citizens. Demons will be tearing through in all corners of the city, though you can choose to avoid them if you like.

Look out for Pride and Rage demons, who attempt to brute force their way to you and feed off of your anger, steel yourselves against Despair and Fear demons who grow stronger as you give up hope, and definitely cross the street to avoid the Desire demons, who can take either male or female forms and will offer you everything you want if you just let them in.

Demons will either focus on attacking you or tempting you by taking advantage of and feeding off of your basic emotions. Agreeing to let a demon help you and mentally folding to it generally means that the demon will begin to possess you and start calling the shots- often using you as a vessel to hurt others and sow discord. If you happen to have any sort of magical abilities, extended possession can lead toward becoming an abomination after the corruption takes root.

So... you might want to avoid all of that. Luckily, there are some good things happening that can distract you- along with the demons, several nugs and fennec foxes will also pop up around the city, and if you don't want them to die a horrible death to a hungry demon, you might consider adopting them. In addition, you may find a random potion laying around- maybe this can help you fight off those demons, or maybe it'll make every nug in the city love you- or maybe it's secretly a jar of bees. Wouldn't be the first time you guys let bees in jars get a little out of hand.

[He's fun, she likes him. He has a sense of humor. Maybe not about everything like Sans does, but close enough. It makes things interesting. Especially when Hadriel's gone to shit yet again.]

Nah, this is pretty new. Cool digs though, yeah?

[Miriam nods, pleased with herself.]

Richie didn't wanna give me the job but I convinced him.

[Miriam bats her eyes at him.] Well that just depends on what you're into, buddy. What's your poison?

I'm pretty sure you can't find what I'm into at a pawn shop.

Aww, you never know 'bout that. I can find almost anything. [She wiggles a little, curious now.] Try me.

[Her best friend was a prostitute okay you cannot shock her.]

hes honestly a little embarassed that it's her asking and hes never embarassed so hes just gonna power on through i guess. she asked. (and lets be real now, he was already doing it at her age)]

Yeah? I kind of doubt a pawn shop is going to have unopened boxes of, say, condoms.

Oh, that's all you need? You just gotta go to the bar for those. [Miriam flashes him a bright grin.] Delight hands 'em out in baskets. She's nice like that.

[apparently he was too shit-faced to notice. alas.]

I mean, that would make sense. With it being Delight and all.

Figures, right? [Miriam twists one of her curls around a finger, smiling.] But c'mon, give me a challenge!

Maybe Delight could give me everything else.

[he shrugs but he's prepared to play this game do not worry]

Probably. [Miriam leans in close.] Unless you want somebody cute. Don't think she gets that interesting. But I know everybody.

[he laughs, amused that she's still trying on this. she's so great]

Yeah? Who should I pay attention to?

[dogsanddaughters]

Well that just depends, don't it?

[Look how helpful and cute she is.]

Pick your poison, buddy. 'cause there's eye candy and then there's a whole lot of crazy. Gotta tread carefully, yeah?

[i cant believe a child is giving him dating advice]

As in real life, Hadriel too has these problems. Probably amplified from like Cavefever.

Yeeeah. [Miriam wrinkles her nose.] Well, lesse. Richie's hot but uptight and kinda nuts. Then there's Mello, who's an asshole and nuts but hot if you're into scars. 'cause he's got a shitload. And then there's Will. I bet he'd turn all red if you even hit on him a little.

I'm definitely keeping you around. You know way too much.

[actually tho per her previous offer to find anything]

Have you found any books that are actually readable?

I'm fun like that.

[Miriam wiggles.]

Books? Not really. I mean. There's stuff at the library. But they take too long.

[Reading makes her head hurt. The words jump all over the page and tend to blur into each other.]

Most of what I've seen there is so useless.

I'd even settle for board games at this point.

How about cards?

[Guess who happens to be cheating people left and right at Delight's bar on a regular basis.]

Anything that's interesting. [Miriam leans in closer.] Egyptian Rat Slap, poker, blackjack...anything you've got. Plus I can read fortunes too. That's kinda fun.
