Paladin Danse | OTA, but limited number of threads

A. Colosseum - Open to two threads

[One moment he's on the open road, and a fierce gust of wind blows enough grit into his eyes that he needs to close them. But when he opens them again, it's just in time to see a complete set of razor sharp teeth lunging at his head. Battle reflexes kick into action, and with a sharp gasp he ducks, narrowly avoiding a messy beheading.

The, the fish thing crashes onto the sand behind him. Danse wastes no time grabbing Righteous Authority, raising the lazer rifle and levelling a couple of shots at the shark. But no sooner does it go down that the ground begins to rumble, and suddenly five more burst out through the dirt. He hits one with the butt of his rifle, kicks another away, and somehow or another manages to twists his body away from any chomps...but he can't catch a break, not with these five jumping in and out of the ground, hungry for a meal. If this carries on as a one vs five fight, then Danse is going to be in serious trouble.

Walking around the city - Open to three threads

[Without the immediate threat of being eaten, Danse finally has the time to process the fact that he is in a new world. Grabbing one of those oddly scented blankets and stuffing it into his rucksack, he escapes the colosseum and its sharks, and eventually finds his way into the city. Along the way he grabs a loose board; the note inside his communication device was alarming, and if it was true then he was going to need to conserve his ammunition, as much as he possibly could.

The guide had mentioned a map in the middle of the city. That should be his first priority. But after his first few encounters with the monstrous fish, he's taken to walking slowly and carefully, peering around corners and running from cover to cover. He's not going to let any of those damn sharks get the jump on him!

But of course, who can really tell if a sharktopus is about to burst out from the ground? He's used to clanking about in heavy power armor, not sneaking about undetected. Suffice to say that as much as he would have liked to avoid any further encounters, that's not going to happen, and he could certainly use any help to fend off creatures.

Or maybe he hears a cry for help. He won't hesitate to go charging into the fray to rescue those in need. Unless they're synths, but what are the chances at this new, strange world has robots?

((OOC: Choose either one scenario mentioned above, or make up your own!))

Deep in the city away from most people: Closed to Nick Valentine and Maketh Tua

[With a roar, Danse slams his makeshift weapon on the two-headed shark's back. An ugly snap and it's left writhing on the floor, flopping and unable to move any further. All its floundering and snapping isn't going to do it any good; Righteous Authority hums in his hands, and with two sharp red bursts of energy straight at its two heads, the shark's dead.

But it was a tough fight, and that sudden flare of pain on his right leg from being bitten has him fall down onto one knee. Danse grips the wound and finds himself surprised that his hand comes away sticky. Pulling away and seeing the copper red stain on his palm, he berates himself silently. He got careless back then, thought he'd only had one head to deal with. But the bite was really more of a deep scratch; the shark's teeth had scrapped against his leg when he'd tried to leap out of the way. Nothing more.

It's just going to be a long road back to his new lodgings. The board had snapped in half, so unfortunately he's going to have to hobble his way home with no crutch for support. Hopefully there'll be no more nasty encounters for the day.
