Kain nods, at least willing to see what this other Guard member has to say. He may be angry about what happened to Rydia, but he can and will get to the truth of the matter. He knows how it is to have a dark double running around doing terrible things in one's name, anyway.

"Fine, then I'll see what he has to say. Perhaps he can clear your name entirely. If not... if I find any suspicion otherwise... then it means our fight isn't over."

He's still a bit stern in his tone and mannerisms, though. He isn't exactly going to lighten up toward the other man until he's absolutely sure about him.
