On His Face Is A Map Of The World.
Who: Dr. Lee Rosen and Yukari (closed)
What: Yukari's hoping for an ally in his goal.
Where: Dr. Rosen's office.
When: 4/15
Warnings: TBA?
After being reunited with Curufin, Yukari is more determined than ever to ensure that nothing will divide them ever again. He's had this determination for quite a while, now. But, after he's spent his time recovering and being back beside Curufin, it's time to turn thoughts into actions. And he had remembered a certain conversation he had once with a certain musically-inclined therapist - Dr. Lee Rosen. How he had gently mentioned that he never wanted to leave Hadriel and, to his surprise, Rosen had said he felt the same.
Yukari is hoping that goal will be enough to get Rosen on his side as far as destroying the Door goes.
Yukari approaches the office door brusquely, giving a firm tap on it to alert Rosen's attention.
"Lee-chan, are you available? I have something I would like to inquire you about."
He's coming by, rather unannounced. His face is thoughtful, bordering tense. He needs to know just how far Dr. Rosen is willing to go to not return home. In Yukari's case, he would rather travel to any other world, by Curufin's side. And, by extension, with Celebrimbor. Cel's death certainly awaits him, should he be returned to his homeworld. And, knowing Curufin's love for his son, Yukari wouldn't be selfish enough to say that himself alone would travel with Curufin everywhere.
But traveling other worlds, and ensuring that they are never separated, is a wish the Gods certainly can't fulfill. No, the only option he sees at this moment is to destroy the one thing that can separate them - the Door - and then work their way up to another solution should they ever part from Hadriel.
He patiently waits for Dr. Rosen to answer the door.

There's a beat. Another. And then after a couple moments Lee appears at the door, silver brow drawn downwards in surprise.
"Yes? Is something wrong, Yukari?"
For the moment he'll let 'Lee-chan' slide.
no subject
"No, nothing wrong. I just wanted to see your viewpoint on something. A series of questions to ask you. If I may~. I'd rather not stand out in the open to talk about this. Prying ears might prove counterproductive."
Yukari's temperament, although showing his usual state of teasing, can almost be considered more cordial than usual.
no subject
"I'm not sure what use I can be, but please feel free to ask."
Not that he thought Yukari didn't feel free to ask.
no subject
"Do you remember our last conversation, Lee-chan? Where I had told you I rather prefer it here than my homeworld, and you had said you felt much the same? How much more do you prefer to stay here?" Yukari leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees and folding his hands into a cradle beneath his chin. "How far would you go to make the Gods not send you back to your homeworld?"
no subject
"Ah, yes..yes I remember."
Why does Yukari have sudden interest in this now? His lips press together into a thin line, wary of where this line of questioning is headed.
"You sound like you have something specific in mind, Yukari. Would I be correct in that assumption?"
no subject
"Come now. You don't need to treat me as a patient. I'm not here for that form of assistance. But, yes, I do have something more specific in mind. You see, these deities, if one can believe them to be such, have been something of an obstacle for me. A force that must be overcome in some shape or form.
"Particularly regarding that accursed Door. I have something much too precious here - a lover. And he and I are not from the same worlds. Along with his child. That Door, at any time, could separate us. Permanently. And certainly death awaits his son upon return to their home if that is where they should go.
"When that wall went up, and Curufin and I couldn't get ahold of each other, I..." his expression softens into something more serious, laced with concern. "I honestly feared the worst, Lee-chan. I feared that the Door may have taken him to some place I could not reach. And I won't stand to feel such a way ever again."
A deep breath.
"So, of course, I'm asking how much you would wish to avoid going home. I require assistance. My next goal is to destroy that Door. So that Curufin and I will never be separated. And Celebrimbor-chan won't be sent back to his world."
no subject
"Curufin is your lover?" He asks quietly first. This is new information. Curufin has been friend to him since his earliest days in the cave.
However what Yukari says next, his 'plan', gives Rosen pause. A tight uncertain feeling in his stomach. Yes, it was true that being here, free to come and go from his room as he pleased, to speak to people, to have some semblance of a life was preferable to the static existence he had been resigned to in his prison cell, but he also cannot find it in himself to wish it permanent.
"Yukari. I can understand your desire to guarantee that yourself and the ones you love stay together permanently, but destroying the Door would rob everyone else of their chance to go back home, to their families and their friends. Certainly not everyone here wishes to stay here." Rosen sighs, expression apologetic but stern.
"And even I--even knowing that it will be unpleasant for me to go back to where I was," unpleasant being very a gross understatement, "I know that I have to go back. There is urgent work I need to finish. People who need me to come back. I can do nothing for them here."

Although, it seems that Rosen is hesitant to give him any of said assistance. Yukari frowns; assuredly that wasn't the answer he was hoping to hear.
"And what would you have those of us with no future to return to do? For those of us who wish to never be separated? Succumb to fate? Randomization?" He reclines in the chair, leaning his chin into the back of his hand. "I won't accept that answer."
Mostly for his personal self than to obtain it by force.
"I do not trust these deities to be responsible by even a fraction. Was it not bad enough they almost got us killed? Much less to keep those of us near and dear to each other together. Just short of a hierarchy makeover, I would say destroying the Door sounds reasonable."
