Carlisle's eyes flick back to Lance as he mentions a name -- Rosen -- as recognition flits across him; his fingers wring around the trowel still in his hands, his nerves showing. As he thinks of one friend gone missing, he cannot help but be reminded of another.
"My friend Kate worked there," he answers. "At the clinic, I mean. She vanished a month ago now. The other fellow you mentioned, Dr. Rosen -- he called me because I was in her notes, and I was simply curious as to whether or not the organization was in good hands."
