[Bob looks for her. Of course he does; it's been hard not to tell she's been angry lately. He's kept close ever since she drew him up out of the earth. Yes, it maybe wasn't her spade that found him, but it was her at the same time that kept him breathing, it's her he pictures standing on a sun-speckled forest floor. It's her he keeps an eye on, and it's her whose symptoms he first notices.
She's angry. She's even angrier than normal, she's even angrier with him.
He watches her with the needle, and thinks of the junkies and users back home, but pads over to her anyways, in her shaded alleyway, ready to pick her up and take her back somewhere warm.
He clears his throat, and tests;]
Johanna?
[No point in asking if she's alright, when the answer is obviously no.]
