What: The intro log for July.
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: July 10th-15th
Warnings: Deathclaws. That's all you really need to know.
As usual, the new arrivals in Hadriel will be waking up on the dirt ground of the colosseum, and as usual, they won't be waking up alone. This month brings coat hangers of all shapes and, uh, sizes strewn about the colloseum floor around all of the new arrivals.
Get up, get out, meet and greet, find some new exciting interior decorating options, but don't forget about the more prominent threat: the (newly) local deathclaws roaming about in the inner halls of the arena. These deathclaws are vicious bipedal creatures with long arms ending in curved talons, horns ripe for goring and, of course, teeth as long as fingers. These animals have been engineered to be as deadly as they can possibly be, so you might want to buddy up before taking one on.
Have you escaped from the deathclaws? Made a few friends? Not died horribly? Great! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers July 10th-15th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
leliana ( closed )
Commander.
( Well this woman, this 'Inquisitor' had one thing right at least - Cullen was there, and they did know each other, although Leliana didn't know (yet) what that meant. They were friendly enough. Perhaps here had given Cullen some reason to trust her, because her story wouldn't )
I encountered this woman in the street.
( She's not making an effort to move - not yet, not wanting to give this woman a chance to move - or do something )
She tells me you could clear matters up.

Leliana doesn't remember 'this woman', same as Cole. [ She casts Cullen an unimpressed look, suggesting that her day has been a long one already. ] Since nothing I say will convince her...
[ He'll have to manage that feat, though they both know how sharp-minded and suspicious Leliana can be. While it's served both her and the Inquisition immensely, it's proving, at the moment, to be a dangerous methodology. ]

in truth, he's not sure how he can convince leliana of the truth. it's still such a fantastical idea--other worlds being out there with different people--and he's had some time to get used to it. asking leliana to believe this feels a little bit like trying to make nugs fly. ]
She's the Inquisitor. I was there when she was brought into Haven as prisoner, when you and Cassandra gave her that sword, and when she returned to Skyhold triumphant after killing Corypheus. She is who she says she is.
[ he pauses, grimacing a little as he says the next bit. ] And before you ask, yes, I'm quite sure my mind is still my own.

And what of Inquisitor Lavellan? I could give the same story about her feats.
( And yes, yes, Leliana has seen the mark on this Inquisitor's hand, and yes it's uncanny but- it's not the life she knows, or the memories that she has. Even if the fact that she could have - and could have wanted to steal the anchor is a dangerous and highly unlikely thing to have occurred it makes a lot more sense than this woman being the Inquisitor, and not Lavellan. Either that or it's demons and blood magic )

[ If only Dorian and Thom hadn't vanished; they could have corroborated her story. Cecily sighs, inching gradually closer to the door, unwilling to be offed over her own identity. ]
I already told you how blighted insane it would be to want this. [ She stresses, waving her affected hand briefly in the spymaster's direction. ] So... should I spin stories about our time together? About Alexius' twisted future and your heroic sacrifice? Or... our trip to Valence?
[ The Inquisitor pauses, then deflates a little again, sighing. ]
I don't know how to prove to you that I am who I say I am.
