If your first thought upon waking up on the cold, hard ground of Hadriel's very own Colosseum is 'maybe I partied too hard last night', one, Delight would love you and two, you're wrong. Or- maybe you did, but that's not why you're here. Instead, you wake up with the same clothes you were wearing when you were last home, but surrounded by very different people. So, make some friends! Might as well voice your confusion and concern and show the technologically unsavvy of you how to operate these fancy new phones, right? Just be sure not to trip over these odd bags of chips on your way to greet your fellow man.
Don't spend too much time out in the open, though. There are monsters about, and not quite the usual ones. This month, Hadriel is bringing in four dragons, each with their own unique abilities and raidboss-esque stamina. They'll be terrorizing the city until someone puts them down- maybe that someone is you! Maybe you should, uh, actually hide. They're hungry and territorial and mean and they're definitely out for a good meal. Check out our OOC post for more information, as well as who will be eventually killing the beasts!
But hey, once you escape from the dragons, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies.
New, as of October's intro log is a Newcomer's guide that installs itself by default on every activated phone. Thanks, Mello!
Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers October 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Why would you question why anything happens here?
[Because he's new, most likely, just as she had been only weeks before. It's hypocritical of her to be mocking him, but she's frustrated enough not to care. She's not one of the helpful sorts willing to dump exposition on any fresh face they see.]
Get out of the way!

[ He sputters, the retort immediate and reflexive, because Uryuu won't be told not to question -- though he has no problem telling others the same.
Much as he chafes at her tone, he's also not stupid. Maybe he hasn't fought any dragons before, but he's fought behemoth enemies, he knows better than to sit, to even allow himself to be stunned. Uryuu launches himself to his feet, out of the way but not away.
With his bow still flaring, he draws, aiming for an eye. ]
What are you going to do?

[Has she seen dragons attacking before? No. They're going to cause destruction on a massive scale, and yet she's having a hard time finding it in her to care. She doesn't have anything here she'd care about losing, nor does she have any friends here worth saving. The only reasons she can find to throw herself into this mess is a) if the opportunity to escape Hadriel was given, or b) if she found worthy allies to assist. As of yet, Uryuu doesn't fall into the latter category.
His bow reminds her of the one used by Alexandrite (she's never seen Opal in action) and while it might be a useful skill her mental comparison isn't gaining him any points.]
Right now? I might just watch.

[ He won't accept that. But, it's not like he really cares how she approaches it -- he's simply defending his own point of view.
What really flabbergasts is her response, what she intends to do, nothing. Just watch. Uryuu stares at her, floored, but only for a moment. A moment's reflection is all he needs. Maybe she can't do anything. That's not how she's acting, instead as though she damn well could but chooses not to, and that's her choice.
It's not like he needs her help or expects other people to do anything. She's clearly not human, so he might as well go all out. Uryuu looses the arrow, ensuring it hits, glancing back with an expression that's nothing less than superior. ]
Then -- [ Gathering the spirit particles beneath his feet, ] I'll be sure to put on a good show.
[ And he surges into the air, just dodging another blast. ]

[She needs to see what others here can do. While she knows that helping out will give people a better opinion of her, she still wants to hold back for now, get a better idea of what she's up against in the long run.
There may be better opportunities for her to join in the fight properly later.
Jasper grins, and it isn't entirely friendly, as she watches him move.]
If you need more of a boost I might agree to toss you.

He does know better, but his confidence has multiple roots. First, in this situation, unless he plans to run, there isn't much of a choice, he can't go easy on a dragon. (In fact, he does intend to run, with this, he can see he'll need to observe it, gather what he can, and come up with a plan.) Second, there's a difference between going all out and showing every card, and going easy. Third, tactics. Combat isn't just a numbers sheet, comparing who has the most power.
So, he isn't worried.
(Plus, it's honestly hard to resist with an actual dragon right there.)
He glances back at that, raising his eyebrows. He'd look pretty dumb getting tossed, he knows, plus he's plenty fast with hirenkyaku, but it's more of an offer than he expected. ]
If I needed it, I might agree.
[ With, yeah, a downright cocky smirk, and then he really takes off. A testing shot, first. He has a feeling the arrows won't pierce the scales, that he'd need Seele Schneider, but it's something to confirm. ]
