[Ignis's apartment]
[ The phrase "everything has gone to shit" really doesn't give what's happening justice. Before Eddie even realizes what the network post meant all hell breaks loose. From what he can quickly gather is that the Null were actually attacking. After all the talk, the bravado, things were finally starting to escalate. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the main targets will be those on the list, the ones who dared talk back and Eddie is all too aware that he's on the list too. No matter how much training he's had in the last few weeks he knows full well it's not going to be enough and that all he's good for right now is to feel like the world's biggest liability.

It doesn't mean he's going to take this sitting down. If a demon clown couldn't kill him and his friends then some shitty Null won't either. Eddie knows that he can't win when fighting them, but he can sure make it difficult for the fight to actually happen. The fighting he can leave to Ignis and the others, those who had trained from younger ages than Eddie. He'll just send some texts out to friends and acquaintances, letting them know not to worry and that he'll be hunkering down in Ignis's apartment. Anyone is welcome to join as Eddie begins to look around the apartment for things to start blocking entrances with or some things to be used as makeshift weapons should something awful come knocking. If Eddie gets his own way the only thing that will be killing him is an asthma attack brought on by stress and even then Eddie would be hard pressed to give in to that.

As long as someone texts before they knock on the door, it shouldn't be a problem, right? The Null will be more interested in other places than some random apartment, surely?]

[ooc: generic open log post for the crew who want to hunker down with Eddie and the others. Text threads are cool too, anything goes.]

[She gets his text when she is at her apartment putting together supplies for herself and for Sandy in case they find themselves unable to return to the apartment for any stretch of time. The caches she will leave untouched unless she really needs them -- though with good planning, that will not be an issue. As soon as she is ready to go, she texts Eddie to let him know she and Sandy are on their way, and heads to Spire Three and the apartment Eddie specified in his message. It is a long walk on a normal day, so today, with the Null out hunting the "gods" and their supporters, it is longer still. Brennan keeps Sandy tucked in her jacket, well aware that the Null are not interested in a fennec fox, but reluctant to leave Sandy behind when she is now part of Sandy's little family unit, so to speak.

When she arrives, she knocks firmly on the door, one arm hooked over the fennec-fox-shaped lump beneath her jacket.]

Eddie, it's Temperance. I was not followed.

[And she is going to make sure he is safe. She is certain Richie will soon join him. They are, after all, very close.]

[To be fair, the reason she even thought that at all is because before the Door brought her here, she had come home after three months on the run from law enforcement, who were after her for a crime she had not committed. Her father, who is a career criminal, guided her through those months, and she had picked up very quickly the most basic skills for remaining uncaught -- one of them being making sure she was not being followed.

So don't feel bad, Eddie. You're fine.]

Sandy is a fennec fox, not a dog.

[Said fennec fox keeps her wide-eyed gaze on Eddie as Brennan walks inside and takes off her backpack.]

She'll be friendly once she's used to you. Are you hungry? I can cook something.

[Mom mode activated, in essence.]
