Well, he was, but he disappeared just after Candlenights. Time is a little weird, here - I think it's like a pocket dimension, maybe with some sort of Refuge-esque time bubble around it. You can disappear from this world and go back home without any time having passed, and sometimes people just sort of... come and go. The coliseum seems to be the entrance, or at the very least, the place where people arrive when they turn up here.
