Curufin has to laugh. "No, it's not boring. Life just keeps throwing things at me. That keeps it interesting."

"And you must have a sharp eye, if you can learn by watching." If someday Atem wishes to talk about Yugi, Curufin will listen with interest. He won't feel burdened. But indeed. . . issues later, party now!

"I don't have to miss him, since he's here. But I kind of agree with you about the name. It's rather formal and ornate. We tended towards extravagance in naming, in those days. Celebrimbor means silver fist. It was supposed to be a compliment, since we foresaw that he would grow up to be an amazing metalsmith. But unless I'm speaking in formal Elvish, I just call him Cel."

And his face sobers just a little. "Cel's mother and I separated when he was small. She gave him to me to raise, and she went off to create a separate destiny for herself. I think about her, sometimes, with affection. But I don't think I miss her. Cel does, though. Of course." Oh yes! Elves have moms!
