Good morning, new Hadrielites. How are you feeling? A little weird about waking up on a strange world under two suns? Yeah, we figured. You're not the only ones - just ask all the folks who woke up with you, or the folks who have been here for months. Or you could ask the monsters.

Yup, arriving with the newcomers are a number of nurses, - but not the nice ones that will patch up your wounds and bring you sweet painkillers. No, these are hunchbacked and infested or disturbingly sexy, and none of them are helpful at all. They are attracted to light and noise, and they conveniently carry melee weapons with them. All the better to beat you with! While you can kill them, they can take a lot of damage, so think twice before running in with fists swinging.

Don't worry, the nurses aren't the only thing that came in with you. Life in Hadriel can be pretty hectic, so why don't you make sure you have something to protect that phone of yours? Scattered around the arena, you can find a number of different and artistic phone cases. So grab one that appeals to you and show off your sense of style!

Once you've escaped the nurses and picked up some phone protection, you're ready for the wider world of Hadriel. Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

[ Merle scratches behind his ear. With his hand, not with his foot like a weird animal. He's not that flexible. Maybe someday. ]

It's sad, is what it is, really. Having him but not-him. The him they knew way longer versus the him they met after it was all stripped down. And yeah, it's still Magnus, down at the core. Good heart, beefy arms, rushing in, whatever. But the old comfort doesn't make it less sad.

At least they've still got him at all. ]

Y'know, I'm gonna say it. The Dos Lonely Boys gotta stop meetin' like this, Taako. We gotta start putting our foot down about it.

[Taako's not sure it's any better, having Magnus like he is. It reminds him of Kravitz, getting revived at Hope's temple after the Null invasion with no recognition of the city in his eyes. It reminds him of a man half-dead. Yeah, Magnus is still Magnus, and they still had him back then. But Merle and Taako had Magnus... a lot more than most people, as of late. Everything they went through to collect the Relics together, even when they didn't remember who the other was... was something. Something really important. That feels like what he's mourning here. Not the person Magnus is or was, but the person Magnus became to them, under those circumstances they'll never have again.]

Psh, you're telling me. Shitty group with just the two of us. It's uh, way too good with just you and me, we need him to balance it out and force us into stupid plans.

[Just feels like another absence. Another thing this place has taken, or forced him into.]

There's gotta be a guy to rush in! It's half of how we get anything done! Who knows how productive we're gonna be now?

[ Because they were so productive all the time before, apparently. Merle, you ignorant slut. ]

Who knows. Maybe, maybe he'll get pushed out through that revolving door again and show up remembering all the good times. Th- uh. Remember that time he lost his pants? We can make fun of him for it.

[They got some things done. Got into Lucretia's office! With like, some help from Barry and Angus, but They Did That.

Part of Taako is carrying this heavily, but Merle is good at making him think of something else much more fun. He grins at him, the devious tug of a smile with no good intentions.]

Oh my god, we could tell him he did literally anything. He'd just believe us. We are unlimited in this moment, Merle. We have to find something fucking incredible.

Yeah, can't believe our good buddy future Magnus is a cat person. Really blindsided us.
