Event Log: Field Trip Part 2

What: The event log for the March portion of the Field Trip event

Maybe you explored a bit last month, retrieved an orb or just got lost. Or maybe you were too busy stalking that person you love - no judgment. Well, maybe a little judgment. Whatever went down, it's a new month, and a new chance to explore this strange world you've ended up on. So climb on a motorcycle, grab a friend (and a lot of supplies), and get going! If you leave now, maybe you'll avoid the next awful thing that happens in the city.

Not that there aren't a few awful things that can happen out there, too. You could run out of food. You might lose that compass of yours and never find your way home. You could ride straight into a ditch and blow out all your tires. Or hey, maybe you'll get in a screaming fight with your traveling companions and get left behind. Whoops!

But everything could go great, too. You won't know until you try, and Love still really needs those orbs full of Hope energy. (Hope juice?) You've got a whole month this time, but the day will pass pretty fast under that hot sun. Good luck.

Waiting, wondering watching for the whispers. It isn't real but it still hurts. Or it doesn't hurt. It feels like both. [At least they can start to feel like maybe this would work--that maybe there was a little bit of Hope left.]

Why are there more of them?

I'm happy to do it, so long as everyone else is careful. [ You know she'll beat y'all up if you let yourselves get hurt.

Cecily glances to Cole, still frowning. ]

I don't know. Maybe they're really more like a species than individual entities. [ beat ] Or, maybe they're all pieces of one Hope who's been broken apart, somehow.

[paragonbrosca]

Hey, I'm totally careful. I haven't died yet and I plan to keep on not doing that.

[Cole's stream of thought has her glancing sidelong at him. She shrugs, never really sure how to respond to some of the things he says.]

Maybe. There's so much shit we don't really know...and to be honest, I don't care about prodding too much unless I have to. Mostly 'cause I still want to sleep at night.

Not like there's anything here. ( Kate no that's just asking for trouble. ) Got some things I want to check.

( Theories that started forming in the last ruined city she visited. That one which was actually ruined. And she does care about prodding. About finding out things that they're not going to in Hadriel proper. )

...Wonder if any of these places have names.

( It would make referring to the different cities much easier. )

All right, well. Go off, then, and make sure that you keep in contact. Any sign of trouble, come back here so that we don't have to go off in search of you.

[ This place is creepy, but it isn't the creepiest place she's ever been to (unfortunately). ]

I'll see what I can make of the temple in the meantime.

We shouldn't be here. We shouldn't be where the ghosts are. [It's not even the first time, though.] Be quick if we can.

[Aren holds back any snark for now, distracted and more unnerved than she likes to admit. Anyway, staying put doesn't help with that, so she'll begin to move off with Barkspawn, beckoning at anyone who looks as thought they might want to come with.]
