Maybe you explored a bit last month, retrieved an orb or just got lost. Or maybe you were too busy stalking that person you love - no judgment. Well, maybe a little judgment. Whatever went down, it's a new month, and a new chance to explore this strange world you've ended up on. So climb on a motorcycle, grab a friend (and a lot of supplies), and get going! If you leave now, maybe you'll avoid the next awful thing that happens in the city.
Not that there aren't a few awful things that can happen out there, too. You could run out of food. You might lose that compass of yours and never find your way home. You could ride straight into a ditch and blow out all your tires. Or hey, maybe you'll get in a screaming fight with your traveling companions and get left behind. Whoops!
But everything could go great, too. You won't know until you try, and Love still really needs those orbs full of Hope energy. (Hope juice?) You've got a whole month this time, but the day will pass pretty fast under that hot sun. Good luck.► This log covers March 1st-March 31st.
► Feel free to make your own logs, as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you run out of food and die unpleasantly in the desert, please let us know here.
► If you successfully return with an orb, please let us know here.

That is an idea, certainly.
There's a huff of laughter at the comparison, but then Fingon tilts his head to the side, thinking. "You'll need to run him ragged. If he's really that angry, training might shape him up in the long run. But if he grows better with a sword before he learns when not to use it, he'll be a danger to himself and others."
no subject
"I intend to." Maglor nods. "I won't start him seriously training until he works some of that anger out. But better he does it there, where I can take it, than on someone that can't."
no subject
"Would have been terrible, yes," he agrees, "but not so different from the damage I could do, or twenty or thirty other people on this city could. Most of us are dangerous here, and these beings' intent is to make us lose control of ourselves."
He doesn't seriously expect to be believed about this, but someone should keep making the argument.
"You've certainly handled more than one angry youth looking for a fight. As have I, and if you want my help you have it. Have you told him yet that there might be others joining you?"
no subject
He shakes his head.
"Not yet. I want to see how he copes, first."
no subject
"I wouldn't want to," Fingon says. "I am...somewhat more stable than you are, perhaps. But what any of us were...we don't choose it here, often. It is forced on us- and not in a way meant to benefit us."
He nods. "All right, tell me when you want me to come in. Are you recruiting anyone else?"
no subject
He shakes his head. "No - I thought to ask Maedhros, who is, as you know, the better swordsman, but I don't know that his temper would tolerate Seel! I might ask Curufin, if things build to needing a third."
no subject
For a long while, he gropes for a way of looking at it that's slightly less terrible. "If something happens, I'll find a way of keeping you safe."
From himself- from themselves, all of them, if necessary.
"I think you underestimate Russandol's experience at handling idiot youth. He managed all of us without strangling someone, after all, and if Tyelkormo had been born my brother I'd have been sorely tempted."
no subject
"Thank you, Finno. I'll ... do my best that you never have to." He can't promise he won't. They both know that. But he can try.
That makes him sputter a laugh, mood lightened.
"Good point. Although if you think Tyelkormo was the worst you are forgetting that there were two of the Ambarussa, and they were quite determined that that meant twice the mischeif."
no subject
He grins back at the laugh, pleased with himself.
"I forget nothing. The Ambarussa put up a valiant fight, but they couldn't compete with Tyelko's ability to make other long to punch him in the face."
no subject
"I think all my brothers were good at that." He says with a wry grin. "Although I suspect Caranthir... well, no. Moryo was more likely to be the one punching, instead!"
