Event log: Mirror, mirror

Who: Anyone and everyone!
What: Hope gives everyone mirrors with visions of their most hopeful future inside.
Where: Throughout the city.
When: March 14th-18th
Warnings: None so far!

On March 14th, all characters will stumble across mirrors at some point on their daily journey. Maybe your mirror is right under your pillow, maybe it's on your bedside table, or in the sink in your bathroom. It could be in a random store that you're scavenging, or somewhere along the path that you're taking to go to a friend's place. Wherever it is, it's positioned perfectly for you to find it- though you might want to be quick so someone else doesn't nab it first.

Each mirror is predetermined to hold one person's future and will be placed somewhere that they can find it on that day. Upon looking in their own mirrors, each character will see a version of their future that will fill them with hope. This vision has to be possible- or they have to think it's possible- even if it's unlikely. Picking up someone else's mirror will not change the image inside; you'll instead see that person's vision for their future.

In addition, during the first four days, until March 18th, characters will want to look into any mirror they can find, not just their own. So be a little careful if you want to guard your innermost hopes- someone might be trying to peek.

[ Yeah well unnaturally coloured hair does that to a person. ]

Don't have nearly enough weapons here, do they?

[ He knows people with naturally unnaturally colored hair, so it's not anything he thinks about. People don't dye their hair when he's from, as far as he is aware. ]

Umu, then that is good.

[ If she is fine then all is well with that. ]

Ah, yes, it would be good if there were more. Hopefully Hope-dono will find it to get us more but we will have to make due in the meantime.

[dedikated]

[ ... Hope-dono? Huh. ]

Guess we will. [ Muttered more to herself than anyone else. ]

What's you name, anyway?

[ Name and honorific. You gotta be polite, and in particular to deities. ]

Yes!

Ah, Jinbee! My name is Jinbee Tsukishima! What is your name, Miss?

[ Yeah that... is an art that is lost on her sadly. ]

Kate. [ And then, as if someone has scolded her, she sighs and adds: ] Galloway. Kate Galloway.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Kate-dono!

You... too. [ Wow no that sounds weird to her but ok. ] You been here long?

Oh, I have been here for three months now!

[dedikated]

[ She nods her head at that, pulling out a random blade and testing it idly in her hands. ] You havin' fun here?

[imobouzu]

Fun? [ In this big cave they were stuck in? ] Well! It is not boring, at least. There are a lot of interesting people here!

[dedikated]

That's... a way of puttin' it. [ So at least you're not so weird as to like it? OK then. ]

What were you doing before this?

[imobouzu]

Oh! I was protecting the people of Edo from giant insects as a member of the Insect Magistrate! [ He still protects people here, though. ]

[dedikated]

[ Blink. Blink blink. ]

... Y'know, I get the feeling my world would sound just as weird to you. [ But... giant? Insects? Nah, thanks. No one needs that. But, just because she needs to have weirder thoughts: ] What kind of insects?

[imobouzu]

Do you think so? Perhaps it would. [ But oh! She asked a question. ] Any kind really, any kind of small insect can have a big counterpart.

[dedikated]

[ Wait. Waitwaitwait. She definitely remembers Marc rattling off random facts about insects that were pretty unnerving. Especially-- ]

Even ants? Aren't they s'posed to be seriously overpowered?

[ Even ants? Of course. He nods. ]

Yes.

[dedikated]

... [ She grimaces at that. ] Is that better or worse than here?

[imobouzu]

Mmm... [ He wonders. ] There are only some giant instects here, but there are a lot of other things instead.

[dedikated]

[ A nod. ] None of the monsters around here look familiar to me. Some of 'em almost look like animals from home but they're... wrong, you know?
