Event Log: A Hope for the Future

Who: All characters participating in the event
What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!
When: April 15th-April 19th
Warnings: Stealth Rock

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

[it's a sign of how badly shaken by her death Margaery is that she actually considered skipping the feast. she fears running into her murderer and what her reaction to that would be, either anger or terror. but she swallows her fears, gets dressed and goes.

she does her best to avoid most people when she's there as she doesn't see Sansa or Daenerys or Jon or any of her Elven friends, but she breathes a sigh of relief when she sees Delmar sitting off to the side. she makes a beeline for him, sitting next to him while balancing her plate of medium rare venison, herbed roasted potatoes, and cooked carrots]

Hello, Delmar. Are you enjoying yourself?

[imhisaunt]

[As she sits down, Delmar sets down his fork so he can reach out a hand to take hers, squeezing it affectionately]

Hello, Margaery. You look so very beautiful.

[He's worried about her. Yes, she's back in one piece now, but that doesn't mean there isn't cause for worry. Not after what she's been through]

And.. yes...the party has been lovely so far.... [Which is true but there seems to be an underlying 'but'. He leans over to whisper to her bashfully]

Sometimes things like this really make me feel my age.

[All the attractive young people laughing and having a good time. It makes him happy but it also makes him a bit wistful]

[she squeezes back gently and rests her head on his shoulder for a moment]

Thank you for your kindness, Delmar.

[there are good reasons to be worried about her. her sense of safety has been shattered beyond repair, and she finds herself nervous and jumpy whenever she's not at the Elfhouse. she doesn't even know how she's going to bring herself to go back to the Sewing Shop]

I suppose so? [her underlying "but" is her fears of being attacked at random again]

Really? Then we must find a way to make you feel a little younger. Do you dance?

[she feels removed from those people now. once she was one of them, but not anymore]

Oh yes. I do. But not in a long time

[He chuckles softly, a bit nostalgic. When he was a younger man the dance halls and the navy balls were the place to be if you were young and wanted a night out. Big band music and swing dance...]

And I probably don't know any of the dances you are accustomed to, Miss Margaery.

[After all, their worlds are very different]

Then we must remedy that.

[she loves the light of nostalgia in his eyes. it's a much more pleasant look than most of the ones cast in her direction since her resurrection]

I'll teach you mine and you can teach me yours?

[very different, but dance is a universal language]

Well I can agree to that

[Delmar brightens, smile deepening the dimples in his cheeks.]

You spoil me, Miss Margaery.

Then, shall we?

[she smiles warmly back at him. for some reason, it's easier to forget the pain of her death and rebirth around him]

Hardly. I'm just being a friend. You deserve many of them.

[imhisaunt]

[He holds his hand out to her]

If you are with me then I most certainly am.
