Event Log: A Hope for the Future

Who: All characters participating in the event
What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!
When: April 15th-April 19th
Warnings: Stealth Rock

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

[yeah, she can tell. he looks almost as awkward as she usually feels which is pretty damn awkward. but whatever, she can roll with it and help him out with what he needs. she thinks?]

Okay. That's all doable. I take it it's the shaving and the better clothes you need help with?

Uh, yeah. Those would be the main obstacles here.

[He shifts his weight from one foot to the other awkwardly]

So...I...guess the shaving should be first, right?

Do you have clothes, or will we have to go to the shops for 'em?

[there's no reason to be awkward in her opinion. she's seen some of the most awkward (and horrific) ways to die. this doesn't even rank in her top twenty of awkward moments]

Yeah, unless you wanna get beard hair all over your nice new clothes.

So that would mean shaving then shops.

[Because all he's got here is more of the same that he's already wearing]

You ever shaved before?

[He knows girls shave their legs but he also knows girls who don't shave their legs so he's not going to just assume that one.]

Sounds like it. Have any shaving cream?

[maybe the shops will cough up something nice?]

Yeah. Not another person, though.

[she shaves her armpits and her legs. not that she sees much point in either since no one sees either, but. there it is]

Well there's a first time for everything.

[He begins shuffling his way towards the bathroom]

I think I have some soapy stuff that will work.

[It feels like shaving cream and smells like shaving cream, but with Hadriel he can't be entirely sure]

You should probably come in here so we don't get stuff all over the kitchen.

[she follows him towards the bathroom.

and inspects the soapy stuff. it should work fine? kind of smells good, too, so that's a plus?

she goes into the bathroom]

Okay. This'll probably be easier if you're sitting. Put the lid down on your toilet so you can sit there.
