What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!
When: April 15th-April 19th

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

It's a good burn, though. Harlan can do a lot more than he can with the flavorless food in Hadriel, but Michael has missed spice. So much.]

Bad? Your taste buds must be too burnt to enjoy them.

[Says the zombie, whose taste buds are dead.]

I'm impressed you could handle something so hot. Not everyone can.[Rita oh my god stop flirting like a garbage can.] I'm Rita.

That is... probably the case...

[Coffee doesn't help very much with pepper fire, but it's better than nothing.]

I've been eating spicy stuff since I was a kid, so- Honestly, kind of impressed it didn't bother you at all.

[His voice sounds a little hoarse. Aaaaand the flirting goes right over his head.]

There's a lot about me that's impressive.

[ Flirting is not among those things, unless we're talking about how direct she is. ]

Um, there is? [Wow oops that sounded mean. Better fix it.] I mean, uh, like what?

[Listen, he's very bad at this. It cannot be stressed how bad.]

I don't know, I've never had like, one of those reaper peppers or whatever.

[ Oh my god he's so bad at this. How bad can it get? Dare she try and see? Not like she's likely to bang him, what with what was in retrospect not the best post she could've made, but whatever. ]

Like how hot I can go. [ She absolutely went for sultry with that. Like, your classic femme fatale style.

Neither have I. I'd be down to push my limits, though.

[ Rita oh my god. ]

[At this point, Michael has finally begun to suspect that Something Is Up. Took him long enough.

He's, uh, not sure what to do with this. People just don't flirt with him? Not even Harlan flirted with him, he just came out and said how he felt. He may or may not look suddenly like a deer in headlights. How does he get out of this without upsetting her?]

O-oh. Well, uh, good luck with that? They, uh, didn't give me any of those, unfortunately.

[It's about damn time.]

Maybe if you ask nicely, you'll get what you're looking for.

[At this point she is absolutely looking to see how long it'll take for him to crack. This is how she's choosing to have fun at the moment.]

[A look of panic briefly crosses his face.]

[ Oh my god this is so good. She smirks. ]

You sure? I bet I could really spice up your life.

[He snorts, but it's more of a startle response than actual amusement.]

I, uh. My life is plenty spicy already. [Wait.] That- I mean- That's not what I mean.

[ ohmygod. ]

You're adorable.

[ Is she being sarcastic? Patronising? We just don't know. ]

[ Her goal achieved, she gives him a saucy wink and heads off. Gotta leave when you've still got the upper hand here. ~~Or when you've been enough of a trash can, wtf.~~ ]
