Warnings: Stealth Rock
It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.
There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!
To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!► This log covers April 14th-April 19th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you get hit by levitating rubble or eat a food that wasn't meant for you, please let us know here.

Maglor too is in blue - a darker navy to Fingon's - but the trim is the firey red of his father's house, and not the royal gold. More importantly to that is the fact that he's gone to the effort of braiding his hair in house braids with the gems he's saved all these years, although there's been no point in them. ]
Fingon? [ He was reaching for the wine himself, and he blinks at his cousin, pausing ]

[He refills his glass and takes another swallow.] Sercemna. I knew I recognized it, they must have pulled the memory from our heads....
[He sends a sour look in the direction of the nearest temple.]
no subject
They raided Lady Yavanna?!? [ Maglor supposes they are all lucky... or maybe unlucky? That the Lady herself did not show up to demand to know what was going on.
But he pours himself a glass too, savouring it slowly ]
Unless we're imaging what we're drinking I suppose.
no subject
I would chop off a braid for a chance to see that- but the latter does seem more likely, doesn't it?
[Ah, well. Fare thee well, chance to see the Valar irritated at something other than them.
He looks around at the other foods, the other pitchers- who knows how many worlds they've come from?]
Still, if Love and the rest have borrowed miruvórë as well, I would not rule it out.
no subject
[ Maglor raises an eyebrow at him over his glass in amusement ]
They had better have managed to borrow Dorwinion too, in that case, or I will be grumpy. Either way, I wonder how they do it. Maybe we're all just sleeping and dreaming of eating the foods and drinks of our long lost youth.
no subject
Are you trying to tell me that your brother only likes me for my hair?
[He eyes his glass again, and takes a long, deliberate draft.]
We have enough time to search for it, if you're truly set on having it. As for dreaming... [He turns to look out at the rest of the feast, pondering the question.] How would we know for sure, I suppose? They've done it before.
no subject
Well, it is in your name....
[ Maglor follows his gaze and huffs a little softly, the sound somewhere between amusement and exasperation ]
True. And annoying! But at least as weird dreams go, this one is rather considerably more pleasant than some of their other attempts have been, if it is one.
no subject
[He gives a short laugh.]
I suppose we can steal home leftovers and check whether they remain tomorrow. Though now that I think about it, there was a feast like this at this time last year as well.
[Another swig, and his gaze goes soft, musing]
I don't remember much of it, to be honest. I'd just arrived, and my attention was... elsewhere.
[Meaning he was injured and being huffy about it.]
no subject
[ Maglor smiles sunnily back at him and takes a sip from his own glass ]
Well, I certainly am not adverse to the experiment, considering I see some childhood favourites, here.
[ Maglor hums softly, turning the glass between his fingers thoughtfully ]
I can't say I recall one myself - but it would make sense to have these from time to time to attempt, at least, placation of their hostages.
no subject
How very devious of you, cousin- but the wine will not be around to save you forever.
[A raised eyebrow at that.] Oh? I've not looked around enough, clearly. What else have you found?
[He nods]
I believe that one of the other residents encouraged that particular affair. An attempt to convince the gods that they could catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
Obviously, they declined to make it a regular alternative to their normal methods.
no subject
[ Maglor laughs ]
I only get one chance to do it, after all.
[ He nods ] I found Mother's honeycakes over on that table. [ He's had time enough to compose himself, so he can even say that with a smile ]
And those mince pies that Finrod used to be so fond of? I am almost certain that those ones on that table are the same.
[ He snorts ]
One day, they might actually get some sense, but clearly not anytime soon.
