It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.
There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!
To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!► This log covers April 14th-April 19th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you get hit by levitating rubble or eat a food that wasn't meant for you, please let us know here.

But that's... okay. She has others here who are just as kind and friendly, like Curufin himself. )
Sure.
( She doesn't drink often, barely more than a glass or two at celebrations, but this is a kind of celebration. So she takes a glass and a sip, and it tastes nothing like the kind of wines she's grown accustomed to on Pulse.
But that might be a good thing. ) Wow. It's delicious.

[ The Elvish wine probably doesn't taste quite like anything anybody's accustomed to in their world, but it is satisfying and refreshing, and confers a subtle feeling of blessing on the party-goer. When it wears off, it never leaves a painful hangover. ] I'm glad you like it. The pastry's delicious, too! [ Munch munch. ]

It doesn't taste like any wine I've had before...
( That's a good thing, but she's having trouble placing the actual tastes beyond pleasant. )

No, I suppose it doesn't. It was made, as I said, in Ossiriand, the Land of Seven Rivers. The grapes are grown in the valley of the River Adurant, the southernmost stream of that region. When the Elvish wine-makers crush the grapes, they add some of the herbs and fruits of their country. These Elves are active horticulturists, and they breed varieties of berries and herbs and fruit trees that are superior to those in my territory in the north. I am not even sure what some of these southern varieties are called. I just know I used to pay a lot in bartered goods to get one barrel full of this beverage!
[ He raises his glass and takes another sip, and grins. ]

This is a once in a lifetime chance, you know? Getting to know all these people from different worlds. ( And all their food and drink. )

Indeed it is. There are many downsides to living in Hadriel, but we don't often talk of the upsides: getting to know people of many worlds; making friends we would never have had in our own; and acquiring knowledge of the sheer size of the universe, or should I say mulitverse? (And oh yes, the food and drink! ) I'd never have had this perspective if I had stayed in my own world. I'm not sorry I'm here.

It seems like everyone helps each other. We're all in the same boat but we're not alone.
( It's one of the many, many ways Hadriel reminds her of home. )

[ She is lucky, if her home is filled with people who think communally! ]

Yeah... ( It's a nice thought to trail off on. People are, fundamentally, good as far as Serah is concerned.
The other thing that's good? All this food. And as lovely as the pastries from home are, she needs to balance out all this sweet with something more savoury. Like a slice of pizza. )
Good place to end? Could catch up in the Save Name Squad's log, if you like?
Hmm. . . [ It is a nice thought to trail off on. Curufin is far more ambivalent about people than Serah is, but he is also willing to give them a chance, and he tries to invoke the best from others and from himself. It is a pleasure to know Serah, who must have been doing the same but longer than he has.
And YES, FOOD! ]
Shall we explore the tables and see what all the dishes taste like?
